    Morning,

I have washing to do today which will need to dry indoors as like @joedenise says, it's looking a bit iffy.
I need to be super careful today as I'm weighing at 5pm whereas I usually weigh at 8.30am in the morning on an empty stomach. Will have dinner when I get home.

    Food today:
    B - grilled bacon, poached egg, tomatoes, spinach mushrooms - P, S
L - cottage cheese with pineapple, lettuce leaves, tomatoes, pickles, pineapple, grapes, blueberries, strawberries - 0.5, S
D - SW sweet chilli chicken, rice, green beans, carrots - 1, S
    HEA - milk
    HEA - mini babybel
    HEB - hi fi bar
    Total syns - 1.5

    Have a good day all

Morning all.  Well done on the loss @beanielou and hope weigh in goes well for you @Coxy11

Weather is also looking a bit bleak here so have put the sheets on to wash so they can dry over the banister and I don't feel bad about not doing washing today!  Haven't had breakfast yet as not feeling too hungry but may go and make some porridge in a little bit to tide me over.  Lunch is another portion of my chopped chicken salad which was very yummy yesterday and dinner is kimchi stew for me tonight with some rice.

Hope you all have a good day!

  • Hi all, no WI this week as I went to the theatre last night. Had 2 glasses of red wine was absolutely fine last night, woke up after admittedly a bad night sleep but feel very hungover today.

Went and helped my Husband cut the grass this morning so that was a bit of a work out. More gardening planned on Thursday oddly excited to do that.

We've decided we are going abroad this summer so have something else to motivate me too before we go

🤞🏼 for tonight's WI @Coxy11. Like you, I prefer a morning WI but needs must.

I like the way we all plod along on here, building SW into our different lifestyles. I'm sure that's the way to long term changes in healthy eating habits and success which is how it's meant to be. It never works to treat SW as a quick fix diet as once you go back to the eating that made you fat in the first place then you'll put the weigh back on.

Tomorrow I'm out for lunch with a friend. She has a big birthday while I'm away so we're catching up in advance. I know I'll try to make good choices as I really don't enjoy rubbish food but if I go over syns for a day then so be it.

I was thinking yesterday that I need to start running down fresh stuff soon @joedenise.  When I do my shopping list I'll be absolutely sure I plan to eat up what we have in and don't buy too much of anything else.

I made some turkey meatballs last night and froze them. I have a couple left to snack on as I like them cold too. My freezers are very full at the moment but, when I get back from holiday, we'll soon start eating our way through it all.

You must be feeling a bit better if you're back to fairly normal eating @ruby_eskimo. Are you up to exercising yet?🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, fried eggs (P), mushrooms (S), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- chicken pieces (P), fried veg and beetroot (S)
    D- SW Bolognese (P,S), spaghetti (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

I agree with you @maman, it's a lifestyle change not a diet as they say 😉  And still feeling a little ropey although the pain is coming on less and less - did manage my walk last night but not up to running or weights yet (I usually find I end up clenching my jaw when doing either of those and don't want to risk damaging anything!)

Sounds like something great to aim for @annabanana82 we go away in 13 weeks and I really need to kick myself into gear - my shorts from 2019 just about fit but want them to be a little looser before then!

I've done really well with running down the fridge/freezer!  Once we've had dinner the freezer part will be empty and the fridge will just have some ham rolls for breakfast (which we'll have once we get to Eurotunnel as we're leaving too early for breakfast!) and some milk which will go into the motorhome fridge.  It can then be turned off.  I only had to put a couple of things from the fridge into the freezer.

Good luck for WI @Coxy11; I've never had an evening WI, I've always managed to get to a morning one thank goodness.

@annabanana82 - it's always good to have something to aim for and a holiday is the best one for me!

  • Hi all, will have a read back later to catch up, but well done to the losers & hugs to everyone else.

I am trying to get myself back into a routine, but not doing that well, eating & sleeping pattern is still up the creek, but have decided that tomorrow is start of a new month, so I am going to start from "scratch" again then, hopefully, it will help my back into rhythm again. Been alot of family things also, which obviously involved food, but in the circumstances, I am not going to feel guilty as there are more important things in the world.

Going to see "We will rock you" tomorrow, so will make up a pasta salad to have for dinner, so at least there will be minimal syns involved.  Was thinking about taking up crochet, will keep the hands buy & brain distracted. Anyone do it and if so, what do you make?

Good to see you posting again @Gettingtherequickly. What a good idea to start afresh with a new month. Consultants often recommend going back to basics, reading your books again, meal plan, food diary etc. All the things we know that work! Enjoy your evening out tomorrow. 🤗

I've just started to crochet @Gettingtherequickly so not really done much as not very good yet!  I've got some cotton and am currently making reusable face cloths.  I decided it was time to start doing it again as I need something I can do when we're away in the motorhome that doesn't take up too much room so it's ideal.

If you need to actually learn then have a look at the Bella Coco videos on U Tube as her beginner ones are very easy to follow.

Good luck with getting back on plan.  Worth rereading your books and getting some sort of plan sorted for at least the next few days.  It's much easier to stick to it if you know what you're going to be eating.

Enjoy We will rock you tomorrow.

Good to see you @Gettingtherequickly. You’re doing your best in the circumstances. I hope you enjoy your night out. I crochet and have made blankets and cushion covers from the Attic24 blog. Lots of smaller projects on there too with photo guides.

I walked to the Tuesday class which took 30 minutes at a brisk pace. Was dry and bright when I left home after torrential rain most of this afternoon. I opted to walk home too and got absolutely drenched to my undies! Just as I got home it stopped and we had the most enormous rainbow!

I maintained which was good. It did teeter from maintain to 1/2lb off but never  mind. I’m not weighing in again until 11 June. Between now and then I have dinner out with children and partners tomorrow (Greek restaurant so thinking grilled chicken), 3 nights away with DH, lunch out with DMum and Dsis plus a curry takeaway with friends. Will be a miracle if I don’t put back on the 10lb I’ve lost so far 🤣
