So today we have three loads of washing on and as it's wet outside 3 tumble dryer loads.

Going to batch cook some meals and at 11am the heating goes off until we can't feel our toes tomorrow lol

Doing something that leads to extra use of a tumble-dryer will almost certainly end up costing you more money rather than saving money.
Anyone else got a chart of how much things cost.

Tumble dryer 1 hour current rate 19p from tomorrow 27p

Washing machine 19p from tomorrow 27p

Cost differences like this will depend on where people live, what tariff they are on today and what tariff they will be on tomorrow.

Note my point above though was that a tumble dryer today vs letting clothes dry without the use of a tumble drying in the future will cost more money rather than saving it.

Obviously that's my cost difference so to clarify for the board

On SVT pre 1st April moving to SVT 1st April capped rates(actually fixed at these rates for 2 years with EON next fixed 2 year v18) and this is the price difference for me.

I agree fully not using a tumble dryer is the best option for a decent money saving per year.

As an example our tumble dryer (rated E or F) will be on 5 times a week over winter (judged at Oct-Apr) at a cost of 27p per use on our new fixed tariff starting 1st April. So that's a cost of £35.10 for the year.

I think you may be missing my main point here. You were saying you were having to use a tumble dryer as it is wet outside today, implying that if the weather were better you might not. For you and others where this is the case I'd say it's an actively BAD idea to be doing extra washing today.

I can see you are a stickler and that's fine carry on

This was a tongue in cheek post to have a laugh about what people might be doing today with a big rise tomorrow.

If its washing that would be done over the weekend then doing it earlier and using the dryer because of rain would be cheaper than waiting until the weekend when the kWh price will be around 8p higher and the SC over 20p higher.
Someone please tell me what money is
