I have a Samsung Galaxy S10e.  Bought new for me by my sons three years ago.  The battery needs charging twice a day.  I have O2 sim only and happy with it.  Samsung will replace battery but at a cost of over £150.  I’m not interested in that. Is eBay still the place to look for a phone?  I’m not bothered about buying a new one because as people on here say it’s a lot of money and not a necessity for some of us.  However how do I recognise if it’s worth the money as I’ve only bought new Samsung phones outright.  I have an iPad so wondering about trying an iPhone 🤷‍♀️. Many thanks.

    Have a look yourself.

If you don't need high end phone. New Samsung A52s currently around £270.

Currently using a £35 Redmi 9. It's not at all obvious what I would gain from a more expensive phone.
