Thanks for all the help, almost sorted, just a couple more questions, I have Amazon video with monthly subscription, do I still need it if I buy the amazon firestick?
Outside UK, it'll be US TV programmes and US news channels (included in the firestick I think) so I don't need VPN?I'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you0 -
You need Prime subscription to watch Prime video, on Firestick or anywhere else, so yes.
Not clear about your second question. Are you outside UK? Do you want to watch US channels?1 -
Hi lobster, sorry I've confused you, someone up thread mentioned I need a firestick VPN if I'm watching USA programmes, the only USA programmes I'll be watching on the firestick will be USA news programmes, and USA channels (I'm UK located)I'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you0

It depends on what you mean by USA programmes.
Many US programmes are released to the UK region on things like Amazon Prime, Netflix etc. Some however are only available on those services if you are in the US, this is where a VPN would be required.
How do you currently watch those US programmes today? If that is via Amazon Prime without a VPN, then that would continue to be the case on a firestick.1 -
I had a Samsung TV which broke, before it broke I watched them through the apps on that TV, this new TV doesn't allow apps to be added, CNN, ABC, Britbox etc., etc,
I'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you0 -
You can add all those apps to the firestick
