How to get Britbox

I've recently purchased this TV from Argos:
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8294832
The TV has set apps installed, it doesn't allow apps to be added, i.e. Britbox, I pay a subscription to Britbox is there anyway I can add Britbox, or should I cancel my subscription?
I've spoken with Hisense customer support, they confirm BB cannot be added, I wouldn't have bought the TV had I known additional apps cannot be added

I'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you

Sorry, I'll clarify. I think buying a Firestick would be a good idea if you want to watch Britbox (and a load of other stuff).
Your new TV is HD, a HD Firestick is about £30.
There is a UHD (aka 4k) Firestick, costs about £50. No point buying this one.1 -

Re: VPN :
For watching legitimate, standard channels using a shop-bought Firestick? Absolutely not.
For watching hooky football streams on a modified Firestick bought online or from some bloke down the pub? Not sure, never done it.2 -
No VPN required if you only want to watch UK regional services such a Britbox. VPN would be useful if you wanted to watch US restricted content on Netflix for example, but not required for UK regional content on Netflix.1
