If so, that might be the problem.

Uber eats sent me a promo code for 40% off groceries, so I applied the code, and placed an order at an eligible store, the discount applied at checkout and all was fine
However when they delivered the item, the re-adjusted the total and removed the code
I've emailed Uber support and the Twitter team, both have told me I've broken the terms (but not which one) and that they've raised it with the relevant team, who may or may not get back to me, and that they can't do anything
Can they really do this? Can I do anything? I paid for it using a mixture of some Uber credit and credit card so thinking about a chargeback, but I'm guessing they could use the same reason there
Chargeback is all or nothing. You will have to return the groceries if you go down this route.

What if I've been charged the wrong amount on my Visa card? For all disputes concerning payments with a debit, credit or pre-paid card, you should contact the seller first. It may be a simple mistake that they’re happy to correct for you. If it relates to fraudulent use of your card, you are protected by our Zero Liability Policy.
If you can’t get a refund from the seller, you should make a chargeback claim within 120 days of purchase. Your claim will be easier to resolve if you can provide invoices or receipts, along with card statements to show the error. Bear in mind—if you have already received a refund from the seller, you cannot make a chargeback claim.

I don't know, Do you? I presume they would if the OP accepted the goods being aware of the revised price. Even if he hadn't can you imagine everyone claiming a chargeback and being allowed to keep the goods if they were overcharged? Maybe @born_again could enlighten us both.PS - OP didn't say it was Visa, could also be Mastercard or Amex.

With something like groceries possibly being tricky to return due to their nature I wondered if it was a hard rule of no return, no chargeback. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
