Uber Eats cancelling promo code after delivery

Hopefully this is the right board for this...
Uber eats sent me a promo code for 40% off groceries, so I applied the code, and placed an order at an eligible store, the discount applied at checkout and all was fine
However when they delivered the item, the re-adjusted the total and removed the code
I've emailed Uber support and the Twitter team, both have told me I've broken the terms (but not which one) and that they've raised it with the relevant team, who may or may not get back to me, and that they can't do anything
Can they really do this? Can I do anything? I paid for it using a mixture of some Uber credit and credit card so thinking about a chargeback, but I'm guessing they could use the same reason there

If they're saying you have broken the terms, then I would be pushing them to specify WHICH term you have broken, and threatening them with a chargeback if they cannot tell you which one.
Did you break any of their terms? Have you checked the promo details they sent you, clicked on the T&Cs and looked through them thoroughly? If not, I'd start by doing that so you can be sure you have not broken any terms!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -
Was there a spend limit for the discount?
And due to missing or substituted items meant the value was under the limit?Life in the slow lane1 -
What was the Uber credit from? If it was part of some other offer they might not be combinable.1

Alcohol? Cigarettes? They're often exceptional items in promotions like these.1

Did you use the promo code AND the Uber credit?
If so, that might be the problem.1
