For anyone curious about tax year interest summary statements for their Chase account, the app says "Your interest statement for the tax year will appear here by August" so let's see if anything happens tomorrow !0

A warning to others... check you are getting interest on this account! Somehow I managed to open another current account, rather than the saver account, and have been earning 0% since April!

Yes, you need to ensure you click the correct option when opening a new savings account.littlemissmoney said:A warning to others... check you are getting interest on this account! Ouch. I would advise moving your money out anyway. Chase have fallen way behind.littlemissmoney said:A warning to others... check you are getting interest on this account! Somehow I managed to open another current account, rather than the saver account, and have been earning 0% since April!0 -

Another one moving from Chase. Opened one of the 2.25% accounts with Charter Savings. Partner chatted online with a Chase rep who said they have no current intentions to up their rates apparently. Will probably keep using the current account for the rewards & cashback then close completely in Apr unless they come up with something better.littlemissmoney said:

Moved all but my regular savings pot from Chase.
As pays standing order direct from savings.
Easy access Al Ryan and Gatehouse until I take out fixed deals in January or February.0 -
Depends what you want.jimexbox said:

Simple interest rate vs interest rate - yes I'm in total agreement (obviously! Can't not be). I also appreciate this is what most(?) would want.
But they are still a great option for what I want which is why I sacrifice a few quid in interest to stay with them.0 -
You can "stay with them" without - effectively - paying them for your custom by keeping your savings with them. They are perfectly good, and desirable, for their cashback, but that's really it, AFAIAC. I have moved my savings out of Chase on June 1 this year - a total of five months now that they have not been competitive for savings.B0bbyEwing said:
