You cannot fund a Chase account by direct debit. You can pay money in by faster payment or standing order.

Sorry. Indeed I just tried that, you can not pay chase account by DDs.

I saw in the schedule payment DDs on the bottom, So, I originally though you could pay the Chase saving account using DDs.

Chase pay out via DD, they don't collect via DD so no good for what you're thinking of.

Pretty much given up but prompted by your post I've just fired up the app and.......no change. That's over a week.

still in the waiting room for about 10 days now, might just give up and delete the app

Glad it's not just me! I started the opening process for Cynergy at the same time, and I'm fully competed with them, despite a postal part to the process and all the Bank Hols! Unimpressed by Chase's efficiency so far...

Weirdly before this delay last week, they were super fast to open accounts. I did an account a couple of weeks ago and it was all opened in under 20 minutes!

Yep, same here.  I sent the referral code to my husband,  and 1 week on he'sstill in the waiting room too.  Is it just referrals,  or are direct applications being kept waiting too?
