I do have a bog standard mobile phone which I got mainly for these one off code numbers. So guess that would still work with that? But as I don’t have a recent iPad and no Photo ID guess I won’t be getting a Chase account yet! If I do invest in a more modern iPad and update my provisional license to a photo one can I be fairy sure of being accepted? Bearing in mind I am not working but living off my works pension.Wheres_My_Cashback said:
One thing to consider if putting on an iPad rather than phone or having no phone is that there will be times when Chase need you to verify a card purchase which, unless you have your iPad with you at all times won't be possible.fly-catchers said:Does the Chase account work with an iPad as I don’t have a smart phone? Hi all
I think I've read the chase site correctly. If you use the current account card abroad, your get the mastercard rate, no fees? Essentially a current account version of a Halifax clarity card.

Yes, 32-bit only provides enough address space for 4 GB RAM.Ian601256 said:masonic said:Just want to check I've got this right:The key takeaways are:- >4 GB RAM must be 64-bit
- Kernel information may be printed on the box if you get the chance to physically shop for your device
if the phone RAM is over 4 GB, this means that the OS must be 64 bit as well as the hardware?
Many thanks

Is the interest payment shown somewhere separate? I can see no interest payment in my Chase savings or into my current account either. P.S. I presume the current account has no interest as it's not been mentioned anywhere and the 1% on card spending compensates nicely for that.Catplan said:

My interest was added on the 1st April and paid into savings account.1882 said:

I had made numerous purchases, via Apple Pay, about 20-30 a month, since Nov 2021, it then declined until I popped the card in and entered my pin on a very small transaction as well, less than £10. Up until, that point I had not used the card, shop staff advised I need to verify with the card and pin.sebtomato said:
No, I don't need the card. Made several payments with Google Pay soon after opening the account, and they all worked fine.Catplan said:
You may find you will need the card, I was paying using it via apple pay it was being rejected, popped card in machine and entered pin all good again.sebtomato said:
Strange. I open my account on Wednesday, took about 5 min for the ID to be checked. Transferred money from FD right away: took several screens to confirm, as account name couldn't be checked by FD. However, transaction went through right away.Bigwheels1111 said:I opened my account and it took 16 hours, they had just got 5000 new account requests.
Money from FD account took time and fraud check.
Savings account set up easy, payment set up easy and payments arrived in other account in 10 seconds.
I like how it set up card on Google pay, Amazon and Bymiles for car insurance.
Set up and confirmed via app was easy.
Will try with phone on next payment
I have transferred again since from FD to Chase, as since the payee is saved now, no additional screens to go through.
I have received the physical card today in a nice envelop. Card looks nice and is indeed numberless, but probably will never actually use, as I make all payments with my phone and never use cash (at least when in the UK).
That's why they load the virtual card strait away on your phone, as opposed to having to wait for the physical card.
I haven't used physical cards for payments for years now, I don't even carry them with me. Making all payments with my Samsung phone, and my Garmin watch is my backup.
