I've successfully received cashback for paying most bills (council tax and credit cards being the obvious exceptions), physical goods, services, food, drink, entertainment, public transport. That's just those things I can think of off the top of my head. The list of inclusions would probably be longer than the list of exclusions. You can find a full list of Mastercard MCCs here, there are hundreds of them, so if you want a list of what is included, work through these and cross out the categories on the Chase exclusions list. It's dependent on the merchant and the MCC the merchant applies to the transaction, so for example, food and drink purchased from a university owned cafe might be excluded under the college and university fees exception.HandD said:I'm a bit confused about the 1% cashback on debit card spend. The list of exclusions is fairly extensive to the point where I thought it may be easier to list what is included. Is anyone able to clarify what that list of inclusions might look like and where the benifits lie for the average current account user?

I have been trying this for a few days and get the same problem. The app will only apparently work on 8.1 (chase told me this and it's on their website) but the error message states 8.0...however I have tried it on a number of android devises with 8.1 and none of them will work.Yellowman said:

Not sure if it’s compatible but Morgan computers have a 64 bit Samsung A40 5.9" 64GB Smart Phone running Android 9 for just under £100.

Check if your mobile(s) are 64 bit. Some budget models are only 32 bitGF100 said:

A few years ago I used to use a mobile emulator on a chromebook. Worked on laptops as well I was told. Not sure if such a thing still exists tho (or how secure it would be for something like banking)... but DYOR.0

I'm not so sure 80p on £80 of diesel is hugely worth itduckson said:Current account looks decent to just pay for food, fuel and other local shop bought stuff and get 1% cash back, would leave standing orders, DD’s etc with my Santander account.
Seems either move to their account full time or faff about moving money into it to cover "day to day " expenses.0 -
Also, for those using an ad-blocker - make sure you add Chase to the exclusions list.
It moaned at me that it thought I had rooted my phone (it's a Huawei that can't be rooted). Forgot to allow ads in my ad-blocker.0 -
How many millions of people are getting 0.01% on their savings? 1% cashback is free money. Coupled with 1.5% savings rate, its the best account around at the minute.anotheruser said:I'm not so sure 80p on £80 of diesel is hugely worth it
