(((Hugs))) to both Dizzy and GI.Good luck on Tuesday Valli. They'd be lucky to have you.I put a load through the WM last night and pegged it out last thing (11.00pm) and it was all but dry this morning when I made the tea at 7.30. I love these spring mornings.More gardening done - I planted three courgette seeds. That's enough for today.Vacuuming done. One of our neighbours is a professional musician; he's covered in tattoos, got long hair coupled with half a shaved head and is one of the most genuinely gentle blokes you'll ever meet. He's conducting at the Royal Albert Hall in November so we've booked to go and see this because he arranged it, conducted the recording at very short notice and has now been asked to conduct the performances. I'm so, so pleased for him and very excited.

Good afternoon 😁
Thanks ladies - you are all amazing!
Parkrun this morning (best time this year do far 😁), then breakfast. DW emptied & restocked. I have skipped the shower bit and spent several hours at the allotment. I have caught up on last week's thread while having my tea break - just this week to catch up on! HB I am so with you on the perfectionist thing! I need to be more HB! I am still knitting the baby shawl for DD1s baby (due July). I did a row wrong (the edging, so between 16-29 stitches), but didn't notice for 32 rows! 🤦♀️ Yes, I unpicked it 😂😂
I think I will do another half an hour here. It is so peaceful and sunny, and good for the soul 😊 I will dig up the last of the swede & hopefully there will be enough for tomorrow's dinner! I have a bucket full of carrots, but after getting rid of the fly damage I may have enough for soup! 😂 Then it will be home, shower & a quick food shop as I have invited my mum for dinner & we have nothing to offer! Dsil is also coming. It may be hard for her & DH 😥 DD2 has covid, so I may not see her.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone!7 -

Hello 👋
Not sure what happened this week. I was still on the last thread.
Life is getting in the way. DS2 was supposed to move bungalows this week but hasn’t so far. S-worker has decided we need to look for a new provider soon.
Dancegran’s house news - we should have exchange/completion dates this week. I popped around & vacuumed the remaining carpets. My sister apparently went to wipe out drawers and cupboards (first and probably last bit of interest shown), I will check tomorrow.
Work is going well and I have been put forward for a project in addition to my current duties. Pity no pay rises are allowed.
My best friend has had the virus and had a very poorly ear. She is finally neg so can actually seek help.
Hope everything is ok. I will set about catching up with the thread.
House vacuumed, some dehumidifiers refilled, wm is on, DH did the ironing apart from my work uniform which has its own iron.

Spent lots of money.. skipped swimming because we just didn't have time.. went to DD1's for Jazzles 4th birthday and now battling Dot to get her in bed when everybody elses children are all flat out.. mine, is not...
DM.. I bet she will be interested in any money being shared!! Shameful of her really. So glad things are moving forward though.
Kaz.. our pink hollyhocks have now sprouted. The red ones are doing well.
The guy next door is retiring and moving back to Poland and I have inherited his immense spiderplant.. I have coveted it for so long.. it is currently in the messiest corner of my house and I am batting cats who ant to eat it. He has been a lovely neighbour and been here 17 years and speaks barely a word of English!

Hugs to GI and well done on the parkrun. I've been wondering about the dilemma; haven't done a parkrun since the first one following lockdown as that is now my swimming time ......some people do both, but I don't think I could. However, having done my first ParkRun for my 60th, I've tried to always do one onor near my birthday......now the lake has announced an Easter Sunday Full Moon Swim so in theory that means I can do the run on Sat and swim on Sun.
This morning's swim was glorious, in double figures now at 11.7 degrees. While I was swimming, Mr N zipped to the nearby garden centre which sells half price pots and got 2 more blue ones for the patio. Went home, made up a picnic and set off for the RSPB place. Part way there I saw a shocking message that our friend's partner died suddenly and unexpectedly last week; he was very fit and probably my age or less. Devastated for her and he was a lovely man, spent much of his time doing charity work. Despite that news, we had a good day (Ionafan no turtle doves).
Not sure what counts as flying; oh we did do one load through the DW, put away yesterday's dry washing, I hung my wet suit etc on the line and brought it in......er, that's it. But I'm just going to do a bit of a report.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Sorry to hear your sad news GI and Narc0lepsy.
Almost zero flying done this week with my mum staying and out with friends all day yesterday. The house is a state!
-Tidy B-WM whites-kitchen-Hallway-Hoover bits (I only have a little hand held so can only do bits at a time!)
-phone hairdresser
-plant the bits I bought at garden centre before they all die!9 -
DD and I have almost completed the massive 🐸 I started eating yesterday.
i have a run for the rabbits; it is made from panels I got from freecycle which had been a chicken run. Parts of it had been 'repaired' with cable ties because some had loose or broken joints so I dismantled it, went to buy hardware and glue. I repaired the panels which DD painted with fence treatment. I even cut a new edge as one had rotted and chiselled out rebates (?) for the sticky out bits to slot into. Glue was applied. (Watching Will on the Repair Shop came in useful then 😂). Panels left to dry overnight. So now we can reassemble it with the new shiny screws. So pleased I have an electric screwdriver! So I am now the owner of a wood chisel and a hacksaw with sharp blades. The last two sections were painted while I held a torch.

Morning all xx
Hugs to GI and Narc0 xx And to anyone else who needs / wants a hug ❤ Thinking about my Mum this morning. Hope she has a stash of jelly babies with her.
Woke up to the news that my cousin in USA has had a stroke following heart surgery. She turned 60 last month. Hoping it's not too severe and that rest and rehab restore her to full health.
I'm up. Got totally confused about what time it was as my phone had automatically updated and, being half asleep I didn't realise so mentally added on an hour. Which I have now mentally taken off again. So I feel like I've gained an hour rather than lost one. I wish they would just leave the soddin clocks alone!!!
I've stripped my bed, and bedding is swishing, together with the Bugs Life lunch box. Yeah, I remembered.
Brew 1 and breakfast have gone down nicely thank you.
I degrotted the hand basin in the bathroom yesterday. There is now a small spider in there wondering how come the walls are so slippery. 🤔
Have a good day.
