The Pay at Meter sign could easily have been hidden by one of the school buses, and the PDT machine itself would be invisible behind a tallish car or van. A driver wouldn't see the signs on the left wall as they entered, and by the time the Have you Paid and Displayed? sign was seen on the way it, it would have been too late.

When you get to the PoPLA stage, use GSV images and manipulate the positions and angles to highlight how they are not prominent, and how they could have easily been missed to support your Inadequate Signage point.
This is so true there was a panel van blocking the view of pay meter and most of their signs are really low not high enough to notice immediately when you arrive.

I really hope that they will cancel this ticket without me having to pay 100.00 missing out discounted rate whilst appealing on this matter.
You don't have to pay at all.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do you really want to pay the 'discounted' bribe rate?
I can not really afford to lose on this case 60.00 is my weekly shopping cost and I will be out of pocket if they made me to pay!

There's no silver bullet, but if you want to pay nothing, you have to gamble on going through the various appeals' processes, which could mean the charge at the full rate coming into play - that's the nature of this game. But, unless a Judge tells you that you owe the PPC, then you don't owe them anything!

Forum advice is not to accept the bribe, but work with us, giving you the best chance of paying nothing.  The vast majority of motorists who come here and follow forum advice fully, pay nothing.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I will paste below template on their online appeal page tomorrow and wait till they come back to me.

    Re PCN number:

I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.

There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle.

If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.

If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner.

Crikey... thirty-four posts before you decide to send the blue text template appeal.

Methinks this is going to turn into a lengthy saga.   ;)
