Squeak has left for her first official performance which starts in 7 minutes.. she was soooooooo nervous but excited.. I have the jitters for her! We got her THIS as a 'first performance gift' with the intention we can add to it for each of her performances. As a reminder of her achievements. DS2 is watching her tonight. I'm not sure is she is more anxious about it than I am!dinner inDW about to be emptied and refilled.. lots of grotty pans in need of washing.. and the cat bowls can go through too after a soaking. And the microwave innards..
I have 144rows of Dr Who scarf to do.. 886 in total!!! I am pretty determined to have that finished tonight.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
So the dog needs a tooth out, £250, and its one of the few things that our insurance doesnt cover! Oh well we have £400 in the emergency fund thankfully.
Really hope it went well for Squeak Pigpen, I bet she is buzzing and you must be so proud!
Chicken pie eaten. Wine and crisps now. DS1 wants a lift to the pub, DH can taxi for once, it's only 5 minutes down the road.9 -
Good luck, Squeak. You will smash it. Well done, proud mum x
Busy, stressful at times, day at work. Horrendous traffic home, presumably because it was sunny and cityfolk felt like crossing our county to get to their country pads. I turned round at one point and doubled back to get out of a stationary jam, in the middle of nowhere. So glad it is Friday. Some b&gger hacked my credit card yesterday, so yesterday evening was spent sorting that out, and moving some payments to DH’s card. Luckily the fraud people stopped all attempts, but now I have to wait until a new card arrives to sort out various bits and bobs. Could have been worse, no harm done, thanks to the card people.
Flying has been wm x 1 (DH seems to have line dried outside as the clean washing smells….clean), washing all the cups at work (thanks, YL 😉) and cooking dinner / kitchen dailies. I am now in pjs and flopped on the settee. Me done for today. DH has popped out for a beer. I am hoping that he stays out for a couple of hours, as I am liking the silence.8 -
bah.. post was eaten.. i hate that.. i will redo it in the morning..
Upside was Squeak said the show was the best thing she has ever done!

Morning all.
Sorry to hear about your experience with the CC fraud, Fayolle. Not at all nice- but I'm glad to hear that it's sorted now.
Yesterday I
- dried towels outside
- got 2 new front tyres for my car
- took my car for its annual mini-valet - unlike DH's, which is a travelling mire pit and gets parked under a rude crab apple tree that drops over-ripe fruit everywhere - mine hardly gets dirty
- booked a hair appointment for his morning because I hate looking like my mother
- dusted the bathroom, but didn't get round to hoovering and mopping as well
- matched up savings accounts to my current needs (short/long-term availability)
- had a long chat with my friend S and swapped news of all her medical problems with news of DH's - so when we go out for coffee next week we won't talk about them in public
- took Rosie to the woods
- fetched our evening meal from the lovely Chinese lady who lives two roads away, and pigged out with DH on pork and wild garlic dumplings followed by Taiwanese chicken and rice [nom-nom]
Today I must
- FUPA the rest of the clean washing that has been airing in the bathroom
- dust and hoover/mop upstairs
- persuade DH to clear 2 piles of his stuff
- get to the hairdresser by 9.30
- go into town to get odd bits from MrW that I can't get anywhere else locally
- call in at the craft fair where DDiL1 and her sister have a stall - might get to see DS1 and DGDs too!
- work for an hour at church this afternoon
- prep various bits for church tomorrow
- make a decision on FF and TD (still not ordered)
DH has been told by the dietician to fill up on soup. Because my shoulder is so painful, I am finding it increasingly difficult to work the hand blender or lift heavy saucepans, and am thinking of buying a soup maker. Any recommendations, please? - PMs appreciated.
Hope everyone has a good weekend xx

Morning all,
I hope it is sunny and bright where you are too, although the wind has just got up here so it is breezy atm.
Wm is on. DH is preparing to go out - playing taxi for some friends to get to big town station.
The windows here are filthy after the sandy rain the other day, but will have to stay that way until the window cleaner bobs around again. I still have the last bits of the Mr M shop to put away, fridge needs tidying, and the floors need vacuuming everywhere, as I seem to have forgotten to do them in the week 😳. But it will probably be allotment day (or morning, most likely), once I stir myself, as there is so much to do there, and no weather excuses to keep me away.
2nd cuppa first though, and a bit of pottering indoors, as 8.30am is waaaay to early in my book to be outside digging.
Have a lovely day all x9 -
Morning all xx
Blue sky and sunshine here too 🙂
Well done to Squeak 👏 xx Is Squeak's show part of the Awakening piggers?
I'm up, made my bed and supped my first brew.

Floors doneLogs / fire doneCats fed and now outside1st car boot of the year is open, so I did my training walk to there and back, coastal path there, road back. Plenty of booters selling ,but no punters or very few, and not buying a lot, so I'll save my pitch fees until April time, then start selling again.Going into the garden in a bit, to check for weeds / etcAlso watching F1 qually.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
