Hi all
Thanks for the advice re: the shoes, yes you are all absolutely right, its daft to miss out on them.
Glad the kitchen is getting sorted Pigpen.
My Mum has Covid, she is fine just a cough and cold. I have a hideous sore throat so did a test to be on the safe side but it's negative. Well I was hoping I might get out of going back to work really.
Checked in on my brother, he goes back to work next week after 8 weeks off due to MH problems, I have been able to give him lots of advice about coping with stress and anxiety. Have told him I will be keeping a close eye on him to make sure he doesnt slip back into old habits.
Clean washing put away, lots of paid stuff done. Back at work later. Food first.

Good morning, a lovely bright day here so hoping that will motivate me to get on with it this morning.
Off to the other house for the weekend so a list of stuff to get done before we leave, and OH anounced he's planning to leave early!
Bed made, clothes picked up, windows all open
Bin and recycling out, both full to bursting, which is strangely satisfying
Not enough washing for a load
Lounge tidied
DW done
To do
Cats trays
Clean out pellet stoves
Hoover upstairs and down
Make sausage casserole for lunch and freezer
Pack
Finished my breakfast, so once coffee's drunk I'd better get a wiggle on10 -
Good morning ladies xx
Later up this morning but my bed is made and my first brew savoured.
On Sunday I will fill up with petrol, pick up my prescription and drop off the window cleaner's money. But I'm not planning on going anywhere until then 😊.
The lock fairy came yesterday and squirted WD40 into the shed keyhole. Some determined wiggling of the key and I'm in. So my bedroom light bulb will be changed today, and the owls and chickens will be deposited on the cupboard tops as originally planned.
I found 3 bagsforlife type bags in the kitchen - so 2 have been folded up and put in the bag of bags. And I'm going to fill the other bag with stuff for DS.
I plan to go through the coat stand and remove all of DS's coats to be returned to him. And take his suits down - they're hanging on the ROD door- and he can take them home too.
Brew 2, breakfast, get dressed and crack on then.
Have a good day

Hi all
Paid stuff done and an hour and a half out on the bike in the sun, heaven.
Sore throat kept me awake last night, it's a bit better but I am determined to fight it off. Dont feel ill at all, its just annoying.
Our little dog has a lump under his eye. DH thinks it's something to do with his tooth, I am more worried about the fact that it is near the eye that he had problems with years ago. I am fretting about it being serious and of course anxious about a big vet's bill!
Chicken pie filling made, we will have it after the trip to the vets. I have tidied up a bit but will have to catch up on flying tomorrow, although I should probably get the hoover out now. Have put cycling kit through a quick wash and hung it out.9 -
Shed base arrived so that was shoved in the shed.
WM onwashing on lineDW loaded
OH put the recycling out
Squeak has her first show tonight and she is really excited but daft nervous and we have made her a lanyard with a badge saying she has SM and we are asking if she can be buddied up with another girl in the class so she doesn't get lost
I've had Lionel this afternoon.. DD1 was saying he had been a pest all morning yet he was good as gold here. Dot has been joyful at school.. and Pixie slapped a child .. very unlike her .. and I discussed with the class teacher about having a screen or some way the gils and boys can be separated for changing for PE lessons.. Pixie is getting quite distressed about changing in front of the boys and I'm sure they don't like it either.. so we are working things out hopefully.. Some of the children are starting puberty and are right to want their bodies private. We teach them their bodies are private them expect them to change in a class of 32 children and 2-3 adults.. are the children really wrong?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -
Good for you Pigpen on the changing room issue.Just a quick heads up for everyone - I've been spammed by someone suggesting that as my DD in March failed for my quarterly TV licence payment I should set up a new one. We pay it on 1 July in full, so they've been blacklisted and the email marked appropriately.Have had my hair flown. Am delighted with what he's done. I so do not miss my hairdresser friend's efforts!WM x 2 dangled, plants bought yesterday at the nursery have been nurtured and some even planted. Normally they hang around for a week or three before I get around to it and keel over and die; this year I'm determined they're going to make it through this dangerous stage. Baby slug picked off a plastic cloche thing, the little blighter. They don't even like geraniumns and I'm being scrupulous about keeping them away from the courgette plants.
Better is good enough.8
