Morning all, thanks for the lovely comments about the wrapping bags. 😊 They were very easy once I got into the swing of it - have made a loads more since those few, and even splashed out on a pack of Christmassy fat quarters from H0bbycraft to add some colour. I didn’t buy felt in the end as I remembered I’ve got tags made from old cards and these can easily be hole punched and attached to the drawstring ribbon. At least for this year!
Saw BIL and his family yesterday so gave them their presents. Also had a lovely meet up with school friends - we took our own picnic lunches to a communal space one of our group has access to - was great to watch all the children running around and catch up with friends - hadn’t seen some since before the pandemic.
Currently sitting with cat sitting charges fighting for lap space 😂 Off to Cambridge later by train for second team Christmas party (champagne afternoon tea). Mr MV is kindly collecting friend/boss and I from the station later and taking her home.
MS things:
* Bananas from Olio
* HW - a good win on there this morning
* Clicks done
* Surveys - YG, NV
Gratitudes
* Catch ups with friends
* Cat cuddles
* The thaw - much as the snow was lovely, I was ready not to have to put boots on and risk life and limb on the ice all the time!

I like the idea of adding colour to the bags.

So I've finally caught up with you! Loved reading through - and found the stuff about the solar really interesting as one of our hopes for the future is that when we move we'll be able to throw solar into the mix so I might be picking your brains at some stage!
I'm with you on gratitude for the thaw by the way - the snow was lovely but the last couple of days of ice was getting more than a bit alarming!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Evening all, and Merry Christmas!
EH, I hope it wasn’t too boring and glad you liked the solar - I’m sure there’ll be more to come on that as the days lengthen! (The snow sticking around for a week really wasn’t helpful - no solar at all!).
Just popping in to say Merry Christmas to everyone really! 🎄🤶🎄🤶🎄🤶
My week has been very hectic and stressful with an ill cat and an owner on the other side of the world. Vet visit and then the battle to medicate it, with mixed results, on top of last minute Christmas stuff and trying to squeeze some work in, has been interesting.More or less there now and fortunately/unfortunately, the family friends we were going to see this evening has tested positive for Covid, so that’s off. It’s lovely to see them (annual tradition), but it’s an hour each way for us and they always seem surprised that we want to leave at 11.30pm! Had discussed doing something different next year, but quite relieved that we don’t have to go tonight. Friend is unwell but not seriously so, and I feel for him being unwell at Christmas, but a night in is just what we need.
I hope you all have a restful and enjoyable few days. I’ll be back with some planning during Twixmas…. If we want to get rid of the mortgage by this time next year, we need to find another £10k on top of what Mr MV thinks he’s got available to over pay on a schedule…

Merry Christmas, madvix! 🎄🤶🎄🤶
There's a huge amount of illness around - every family I've been in communication with has at least one member ill. But I'm very sorry to hear the cat sitting cat is ill! Poor little mog - I hope that clears right up.2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -
Aargh there is so much Covid around at the moment - let alone the standard nasty seasonal colds doing the rounds. I do absolutely get feeling like a night in is just what’s ordered, though! As for the poorly cat, that must be incredibly stressful feeling like you’ve got the responsibility for someone else’s pet - and no fun for the owner either although I bet they are immensely grateful to have someone on the spot who they trust, too.
Have a lovely few days - and I’ll look forward to seeing your planning!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
