Oh, that is indeed good news!4

Just lost a post, gist was:
Thanks Cheery - definitely cheered me up.
Cambridge meeting cancelled, went to allotment, did lots of weeding, things look better now. Need to sow more sweetcorn. Have booked ginger cat for urine sample at vets on Tuesday and also boiler service on Tuesday. Have continued work for main client but it is blood-pressure raising, also done small platform jobs that will get through on this month's payroll. Have also eaten too many of the biscuits I baked earlier.
Stiff and tired now, so going to pour a drink and enjoy the sunshine for a bit (and sow some seeds maybe and pot some things up and.... there's always more to do in the garden! I really liked your comments on Foxgloves' diary earlier Cheery about differentiating between work work, home work and leisure.... there's not a lot of that happens here either (differentiation, that is). And there's always guilt about sitting doing nothing!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Have been using the p0m0d0r0 method again today as I'm prone to go down the rabbit hole of 'tinernet on my non-work (rest) days & like you have a never ending list of to-do's that keep getting 'forgotten'!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Wow that’s a long wait to get the car fixed, glad you don’t have to pay though!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3

Really sorry to hear about the car delays. I need to book mine in for its annual service and I am no longer on a three year deal.
I also found that conversation about delineating work and leisure times interesting and thought provoking. I give myself no more than five things to achieve on any day, based on comments by a former big boss who said that he felt he had achieved a lot if five things on his list got done. It means most days are satisfying and have a bit of structure.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

How big are your five things though SL? I find I have to write nearly everything down, or I forget it needs doing until I see it again (i.e. yesterday 'put washing away' was one of the items on my list - two bags of it in the bedroom and if I hadn't written it down it would still have been there at bedtime). So my list can contain twenty items, some of which only take five minutes and others which take half a day (or brain power - cards and presents for people - which is worse!). I got a lot done yesterday, but there's still a lot to do.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Sorry RT - forgot to respond to your message, which was a wonderful one! You are quite right that doing nothing is rest work, and something we should do more of!
Mr MV has the day off, so we got up later than normal, which was much needed - I sent the cat away at 7 and went back to sleep - got another 40 mins or so. He's gone off for a run now and I've left the kitchen mess to him (I still got up and saw to the animals - cats, fish and wild birds - and watered the garden as I'd forgotten last night). I've got work to do this morning - I'm hoping I'll get two things back to main client today, which will get me much closer to up-to-date, and then something from another client later, but hopefully that will be quick. I'll pop in and do my Cambridge work at some point, but until my meeting (now Friday) with boss I can't action a lot of stuff - so will spend quite a bit of tomorrow on that I think. In any case, it would be nice to have most of this afternoon off if I can manage it. Or at least knock off about 3 guilt-free, or have a long lunch hour or something! (I have no idea what Mr MV has planned for today -not a lot hopefully as he really does need some rest, but I'm sure he'll find a few jobs to do).
MS things:
* 1P surveys
* Clicks, comps and HW
* Last night's dinner used up last of veg, ready for delivery today
Gratitudes:
* Sunshine!
* There were a handful of gooseberries on my fledging, donated by allotment friend, gooseberry bush! I need to ask him what variety it is (and whether the garlic is hard neck or soft neck)
* A decent night's sleep
Have a good day all!
