There's no way of knowing what will happen when I die, but we can't see how a claim could be brought. He'd have to prove he was financially dependant on me etc.  Solicitors did both of wills and in our circumstances was the best route for me to provide for my DD.
Not if you are married.  It's expected that spouses will make adequate provision for each other in their wills and a will can be challenged if it doesn't.
A spouse can also register a matrimonial interest in the family home with the LR even if they aren't on the deeds.
My house is worth a quarter of what his is, plus he has a 2nd property too.  In terms of money, well he out numbers me many times over.
When we made the wills our solicitor was pretty certain this was the best option for me to leave DD something.  We are both clear and I'm happy I've done all I can.  This is all the OP can do really, I'm happy with my will, hubby is happy with his, and we both are happy with each others (although I don't understand his logic 🙈)
Currently DD lives in his place (city centre, much more suitable), and we've all said she'd probably move out to mine (which would be hers) and he'd just move in to that (or the other one).
This is all dependant on if I go first of course..
We have often talked about putting all 3 properties into our names, but I'm not that bothered, and happy how it all is.

Hopefully the OP has made steps to amend theres, all you can really do is the best you can, on the advice you have.  The OP wasn't happy with there will, but hopefully they will be.

Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
