Hi @Getridofdebt66 After a horrible few months end of 2023 and through 2024 we are now starting to find our feet. So things have been better but are generally ok now.
I have a ton of things to do but time and motivation have been lacking. Maybe I will start joining you in listing what I want to achieve in a weekend and try to crack on a bit.
One little ray of sunshine was my 15 year old car passed it MOT with just a couple of advisories recently. I was expecting something expensive to be needed as its been pounding up and down the M6 over the last year or so but it was surprisingly fine
Hope your weekend went well and you enjoyed the warm weather. I'm going up to my mum's tomorrow and we will get to walk on the coast in the evening which will be lovely.

I am sorry about your start of the year and end of last year, i do remember your posts, sending love!
Amazing news about your car passing its MOT, even if you know it drives fine it is always a worry. Mine cost a small fortune before Christmas last year...we don't want a repeat of that this year.
I have enjoyed the weather this summer, its been a nice change by having a decent summer.1 -
So i have been missing for a few weeks, had some medical worries going on in the background, have a hospital appointment tomorrow which I am very worried about but i thought if i came back it would help me focus on something else. Also we went away for a few days last week, we were very economical but didn't feel we missed out on anything. Took dd out everyday and did some exploring, the biggest expense was petrol, actual money spent £85 except food shopping and petrol, we didn't eat out at all. So i am feeling much more in control of things now.
Today was payday, a good chunk of the bills have come out with a remainder coming tomorrow, that back to very little....but all my bills will be paid. I have also paid back a debt i owed today do thats what makes things tighter this month but its paid and thats the main thing. We also had our payday treat of a takeaway for tea which with the worry of tomorrow i needed a little pick me up. I also ordered some more underwear and a pair of pjs as i decided a few months ago to ensure i spend £25 a month on underwear and pjs, the things i never spend on myself but what i am in desperate need of and its been nice actually having some nice bits on that no one can see but it is helping my confidence in myself. I also had a food shop delivered this morning to see me through the week, towards the end of the week i need to do a proper audit of the fridge and freezer and tailor my meal plan accordingly for next week and get those pennies in my pocket...
When we were away i picked up a few bits from the local CS and had some nice tops, the most beautiful skirt along with several books, as this holiday i have been trying to read more and it has certainly been relaxing i am going to try and continue when i am back at work.
Tomorrow's plans
General housework
Put clean clothes away
Medical appointment
Take dd to her club and take drinks with me
All food from stores
It may not be the longest list but more than enough atm.0 -
Yesterday was a somewhat successful day, i went to my medical appointment but i feel a bit more upbeat about things, still no idea but the doctor reassured me about my worries. Although my list was small i did do it and i also had a lsd just £3.30 for parking.
This morning i am having a relaxing morning and not moving much and enjoying of the last few days i have before going back to work. I do also need to get me some new shoes for work and have my eye brows done to pamper myself so will go our later and do the last bits. Dd has everything she needs to go back to school so i think tomorrow i will need to see about ironing it all, oh its been a while!
I also need to start a new book, I am really enjoying reading again and have read so much over the holidays that i want to continue to do it after the holidays but unfortunately i may not be able to read them so intensely...
I have been thinking about next weeks food shop...i saw a gusto code online i have joined for the first discounted week, i got 5 meals for 4 people (extras for next days lunch) for £16, now i know i have paid it but i will put it back tomorrow when the bill money comes over for the week so this weeks shopping will be very small but i do plan on grabbig washing powder etc to even it out but if i can get the food shop around £50 next week then in total its cost £ 66ish for the week and so still saving...if i can get it even less that will be even better...but at least i will have stocked up with everything.
Todays plans
Msd - work shoes and pamper
All food from stores
Online food shop for the weekend
General housework
Washing and dry outside
Use free drink voucher from greggs whilst out
Start a new book
Confirm plans with a friend for tomorrow
Get 2 birthday cards when i am out for upcoming birthdays
Time to get up and have a cup of tea before making a proper start on my day.

Hope you enjoyed a relaxing morning and a bit of a pamper in the afternoon.
I've just bought a clothes steamer which I'm hoping will be good enough to make me put the iron in a cupboard and forget about it. Though I actually have to get the thing out of the box and use it first1 -
I’ve just been on a cruise and was advised to buy lenor crease release and tbh it worked great, will hopefully never need to iron again 🤣🤣🤣Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j2 -
Hello @jusferbrowsing i had a lovely relaxing afternoon, actually most of the weekend has been the same and i enjoyed my last few days before returning to work.
A clothes steamer does sound like a good idea, maybe i could add it to my Christmas list and see if OH will buy it me, but he hates when i ask him for something practical but i would rather he brought it me than me buying it myself. @dawnybabes i have never heard of the lenor crease release, i will look online and see where it is cheapest if its a reasonable price and give it a try.0 -
Today I have been back at work, same old really. Weve had all food from stores and tbh i am trying to eat a bit better and lose a bit of weight so i have done okish (tea wasnt the healthiest) but tomorrows will be much better. Mondays i tend to have an easy oven dinner to ease my way into the week.
Tomorrow i do need to get some petrol but thats it for spending and i should then be ok until shopping on the weekend, well heres hoping. The first gusto meal was a hit and oh said it was the best meal he had had in ages (it was a favourite of his that i somehow didnt know how to make) will keep the recipe card and get the ingredients to make again, it wasnt an expensive one to replicate and fairly easy. Not much else planned just the usual housework, i will need to put washing away tomorrow too and all meals from stores.
Right off to bed now, I am so tired.0
