  • Yesterday was a lovely day, I did spend slighty more than I planned but not by much, I also visited my relatives and I grabbed a packet of cupcakes that cost £8 on the way, we had a lovely time and was greta catching up.
I saved £13 at the surplus store but got lots of meal stuff that will be used over the week, I also did a click and collect for the last bits so this week i have spent £72 on shopping and everything is filled and more than enough to last. I do however need to grab some potatoes when i get shopping as I forgot to add to the list.

    Todays plans are
    Collect food shop
Collect something for OH for the garden
Jet wash outside - this will be a job that goes on for hours
    General housework
    All food from stores

Thats enough for my list today as jet washing will be long and tiring.

I am shocked how quick this week has gone but having my lists to go back on makes me realise i haven't been wasting the time and have actually been quite productive.
  • Yesterday was another productive day and got all my list completed. Today i dont have many plans just pottering around the house.

Bills all gone out today and thats it really. Not else to report just a quiet day really.

    Todays plans
    General housework
    All food from stores
    Put washing away
Washing done already need to peg it outside
    General tidy in the garden
    Clean bathroom
Empty bathroom cabinet and freshen it up with some paint as it is looking old and shabby but don't want to waste money on a new one if i can help it

Thats enough to start my morning i think
  • Another productive day yesterday. I painted my bathroom cabinet but it does need another coat, I am hoping that makes it look better than it does and much better than it did before. It was so hot yesterday i am fine abroad but at home its too much for me.

Decorating has been put back until next week/later this week it is forecast too hot to be painting inside the house so I will just stay around the house doing little bits.

    Todays plans
    General housework
    Put all washing away
Having repair finished in bathroom at some point today
Another coat of paint on the bathroom cabinet
    All food from stores
Msd - ordered oh a coat and some tops for his birthday-£34 spent
    Collect a parcel
    Send a letter (free postage)
Send a parcel (need to pay postage)
Wash decking ready for it to be painted later in the week

Thats enough to start my day for today i think.

  • Its been a week since i have posted, i have had some quiet days in the house and also visited some friends and my mum. Spending is so-so some good days and some not great days but its ok. I have brought 2 birthday presents this week, one for my niece and one for dd, I plan i buying bits as I go for dds birthday but the bulk will be done when i get paid at the end of the month.

I am certainly happier its a bit cooler. I struggle in the heat and last week was a bit too much for me.

    Todays plans
    General housework
    Take dd to her friends
    Visit my mum later
    Post a letter
    All food from stores
    Nsd
    Change dd bed
Wash and dry outside if the weather picks up
    Book drs appointment
    Book dentist appointment for dd
Tidy out rubbish from my car

Time for one more cup of tea before starting the day.

Across 2 days I have managed to get my list from yesterday done. Today has been catch up, i went to the surprise place and spent £10 and got 2 big bags full of stuff to see us through until the weekend, that is the only spend i have made, tea is nearly done and then I plan on a quick bath and relax.

Moneywise, things arent great but also not dire just plodding along. Me and oh have spoke and we decided a while ago to start selling some bits, so tomorrow that is my plan to get some stuff out that we won't use again and put it on Fleabay to see if we can get anything for it to create some space and free up some pennies.

    Tomorrow's plans
    Bathroom repair....again.
    General housework
    Washing and drying outside
    Put clean washing away
Sort out some things and put online for sale
Sort out shoe boxes as i can't get anything else into them and also only wear 3 pairs of shoes....something doesn't add up there
    All meals from stores
Do some baking with dd for a nice desert
Pull some weeds up from the garden (please note i said some not all....i hate weeding)
  • I've finally got round to jet washing my decking today, I swear more water went on me ha!
Hope you are enjoying the holidays
Sorry i missed your message, i agree i was like a mess...a mud mess it was everywhere even dd took a step back to look at the state i come back inside looking like 🤣🤣

I am enjoying the holidays, how about you?
  • After a busy day, and now not feeling 100% in myself i am starting to have the money worries, "what if i can't pay my rent soon, have i got enough to get the shopping" etc. And I have just started worrying about money again, OH has picked up an extra shift for this week so that helps but I think everytime money starts going down and its the middle of the month so harder to feel you footing again until payday, its the neverending cycle at the moment and i feel like i am drowning in debt and just making ends meet. I keep trying to this of the version of me 2 years ago and the debt, the worry etc and how far I have come, even the version of me from 12 months ago but sometimes the thoughts just overwhelm me...so with that I am going to be as productive as possible tomorrow to try and raise some pennies, I think it will help me feel a bit more in control.  I think its harder when I am off work, i mean i love the time off but when I have no money but working it doesn't matter because "I am working to get money" but now (despite me being paid most of the holidays) i feel worse because i am at home. I dont have loads of money for days out, dd is at the age where the park doesn't suffice anymore and i feel worse for being at home and with no money...sorry for the rant/wobble just need to get it out to make me feel better.

Back on todays plans, i sorted out the shoe boxes, 1 bag full of the oldest, dirtiest just not great shoes ever, i did find an old pair of dds trainers, she didn't want them but they are just what I have been wanting, they have been washed and look new and are currently drying outside. It is nice to have something that is really nice and new to me (tbh they are new to dd she had them for a gift and wore then a couple of times)

    Tomorrows plans
    General housework
Washing and drying -not sure if outside due to the weather
    List items online for sale
Sort some old clothes out for Minted - i want to list 5 items is my aim
Call about one debt to set up new payment arrangement- i think this is worrying me as I want to get it gone asap
Look at budget for next months pay for a realistic birthday budget for dd that we can afford that doesnt put us in debt
Look at a Christmas budget and work out how much is realistic and manageable and most importantly doesnt not put us in debt.
Look at budgets for household and car pots and look at what we can afford and how to make it possible it doesn't need to be the full amount just something in there to help buffer until debts are paid and we can build them properly.
Collect a parcel, its the last of dds school uniform and I am officially done for this year!
Take dd out with her friend, using free pass for dd

I think if i start looking at budgets and saving pots it may make me feel more in control when i feel like I am not in control.

  • You may have had a wobble but you are doing a fantastic job. Well done on not just spinning your wheels but looking at ways (however small) to grab the wins and add to your budget and keeping a positive mindset.

    You're doing great.
  • Hello @jusferbrowsing thank you for your lovely message, yesterday it was a wobble, I just felt so overwhelmed with everything and tbh sick and tired of debt busting, it won't stop me but I am fed up of it...mid-month blues i think.

Hope all is well with you?hows things?x
