I have had a good couple of days just not had time to post.
I have has 3 nsds, today i have brought petrol and also went for coffee with a friend, they lovely lady gave me a free drink due to account logging me out and not logging me back in so £35 spent in petrol and £3.65 on a drink, but i was out 2 hours so a bargain and nice to see my friend.
I have also been cleaning and also sorting things out, i have put covers over the sofa to try and protect it from the dogs.
My plan for this evening, dd has had tea. Im not hungry so I will have a snack later, also plan on going to bed early tonight and try and get back into my routine ready for work next week.
Tomorrow's plans:
General housework
Iron work clothes and school uniforms
Put washing away
Washing and drying
All food from stores
Meal plan
Online food shop
Fill up screenwash in car
I think thats a nice start off for the day...1 -
Yesterday was somewhat successful, i managed to nearly complete my list, the only item rolling over is filling up my screenwash in my car.
Bit of a slow start this morning, hoping to get moving and make up for it later.
Not much to add at the moment, as yesterday was a productive but quiet kind of day.
Todays plans
General housework
Take dd to club, £3 to spend
All food from stores
Washing and drying
Put food shop away
Try and have an early night
Put screenwash in car
Thats enough to get me started0 -
Yesterday i managed to get all my jobs done, today has been a busy one, put £10 petrol in ohs car as I have used it this weekend, its still cheaper than the congestion charge that I have to pay with my car. I have managed to clean up, get lunches ready for work and school tomorrow, had a relaxing bath and now just settling down for the evening.
Tomorrow i am back and work so i think it will be a relaxing evening, so my list will be small but will be a nsd.
Tomorrows plans
Work
Nsd
All food from stores
General housework
Relaxing evening with dd as oh at work
Washing and drying
A quiet one for a few days to recover being back at work...0 -
Hi @Getridofdebt66 hope you're doing well debt busting and ticking of your lists.
I lost my dad just before Christmas resulting in my being away from home and work for a number of weeks. Home now and working again but there's quite a bit of catching up to do in the home and financially.
Inspired by you I've a list for today
Empty out the wardrobe and sort clothes into ones to keep and ones to ebay (not tried Vinted but maybe I need to look at that too)
Fix the dodgy rail on said wardrobe. Missed out on a reduced double sized one on Argos last week (Gah!!) so quick fix needed until the right one comes up at the right price.
Do at least one wash and utilise the dry windy weather today to dry it.
Cut DHs hair.
Clear the carp of the top of my piano. It is NOT a table !!! I need to start playing it again.
Hope to hear how you are doing soon.

Hello @jusferbrowsing
I am so sorry for your loss, it must have been such a difficult time, sending lots of love xxxx
Your list looked like a good list to have kept you busy xxxx1 -
Well again I have been a bit mia, spending not great but not awful, trying to rein it in and being careful with my pennies but half term threw it out a little, thankfully oh gave me some extra money and i had some birthday money back, dd has had a busy but fun week, which has been lovely weve been able to take her places i.e cinemas but i managed to get a discount so £5 a ticket, thats half price for our local cinemas.
Last month oh gave me the bulk of the bill money for the next 3 months so I am budgeting it and only drawing out petrol.and shopping money each week, I am trying to get shopping at around £80 a week. A couple of years ago I would have blew it on nothingness and have to put it on credit cards for the shopping, now i am counting the weeks and what could be over if i manage to not spend as much on shopping.
OH has his MOT today so i am hoping it doesn't hurt too much financially.
Todays list:
Using last of birthday money to have my hair dyed (my hair dress is mobile and its lot cheaper than a salon)
Take ohs cars to mot
General housework
All food from stores
Put washing away
Thats enough to get me started for today i think, a relaxing last day off work.1 -
Yesterday was not a productive day but a nice way to finish ny holiday. I popped in and visited my nan for an hour and grabbed dd a sandwich, drink and cake from a coffee shop, £7.20 spent.
Today was about the same, i went out late so ordered a takeaway for £18.25, i need to stop buying takeaways but with taking dd and visiting family it would have meant dd is not eating until later and today was a treat, my shopping is coming tomorrow and is full of healthy meals and snacks, from tomorrow I am going to try and eat better and no more takeaways....maybe a few fakeaways tho but my ideas if what to cook are limited as i always seem to go blank.
Anyway, my food shop has been done, £76 for the week and the meal plan is going on the fridge so i dont forget what were having...thats part of my downfall sometimes. So i have £6 left in my weekly budget and £10 in my purse, i will put £10 in my car to top up what I have and then I should be ok for the week. I am hoping to still have the £6 by next Saturday when my budget refreshes thats my target, I am trying to be accountable for the takeaway today and see the impact through the week as a deterrent, hopefully i will be fine with also eating healthy.
I am going to look at my budget shortly for the next month and see where i am money wise. Recently weve had the smart meter unplugged as I did not have a spare plus where it was before, yesterday i found it a new home in the hallway and the impact of seeing it everytime we go down the stairs or come in the door has been brilliant, reduced the spend today and keeping those figures there to help bring it down.
Tomorrow's plans
Look at ohs car insurance...the renewal quote is shockingly expensive.
Take dd to club
Put £10 petrol in
Put food shop away
Prep lunch for work
Iron work uniform and school clothes
General housework
Put washing away
Nice soak in the bath
Keep an eye on the smart meter1 -
**comes slinking back in**
I am not sure why I haven't checked in for a while, life certainly has been busy and tbh i have just been plodding along with paying off debts and trying not to spend.
Weve just got back from a few days away, it was lovely we hardly spent much, ate in every night except once we did go out to watch the entertainment and only brought 1 drink each....rip off and it wasnt the greatest but we had a lovely time.
In the middle of my holiday and also easter weekend. Dd has got plans with some of her friends, i dont have many except an evening out with one of of good friends next week, wont cost too much.
Anyway on to debts, the big horrid one I was paying has gone, i feel like I can breathe again...i am planning on doing a debt calculation to see where I am atm compared to last year.
Today, i have got various little bits I want to do along with my new challof walking 6000 steps a day...some days I dontget close to it due to working at a desk then tired when I get home but this is going to be my new challenge, i also want to get some jobs done around the house this week, I will try to use what I have in but may need to buy a bottle of gloss maybe, will update daily.
Todays plans
Put food shop away
Wait for repair of washing machine (they are coming this afternoon)
Take dd to mums for tea
Walk 6000 steps today
Tidy front garden of rubbish (no weeds its too cold)
General housework
Contact window cleaner
Washing and drying once fixed....i cant wait!
Put washing away as I go so it doesn't mount up too much
Deposit a cheque online
Tomorrow I plan on a little painting (one indoor ceiling and one outdoor roof) need to sort paint out for this.
Thats what I am starting with, may come and update with more later, I will see how I get on.

Evening,
@MFWannabe my debts are coming down nicely, from 2 years ago they are considerably less.
My debts currently stand at:
Eon £308
Natwest £2000
Capital one £145
Capital one £299
Cabot £1331
Cabot £131
Lantern £575
Lowell £482
Lowell £140
Vanquis £520
Cabot £159
Total £5782
Reduction of £7939 since March(ish) 2022.
Whilst others have seen bigger debts come down for 15 months of this period we had 1 wage and were living on almost nothing whilst trying to pay some of the debts, this also doesnt include my car finance (which is now paid) this was an additional £2672 on the original figure.
I know my overdraft needs to go so I am planning on contacting the bank this week and asking them to reduce my overdraft by £100 a month until everything else is paid then I will throw everything at it just to try and save some pennies.
Also going forward I want to start getting rid of the smaller debts, tbf the arent a lot each month but i want the momentum of getting then gone asap.
Next month will be cabot £131 i will pay off on payday, thats my plan.
Todays list has been half and half, my house is looking lovely and clean but the repair man came late in the day, whilst i have done plenty of washing and drying it can be put away tomorrow as i still have loads to do but I am hoping it will be nice and sunny like today so i can dry outside. Also read the wrong date on the cheque so will put in later in the week. I did also clean my car out which I was not planning on doing. I also didn't do my steps so I am hoping for an extra 500 tomorrow to help boost me
Tomorrow's plans
Washing and drying
All food from stores
Put clean washing away
Paint ceiling inside and outside
Walk 6500 steps
General housework
Pamper evening with what I have and a relaxing bath
Think thats enough to start an Easter Sunday with1
