Tried Boiler Juice again this morning but still getting... 'Due to the extremely high demand our suppliers are currently experiencing, we don't have a supplier in your area that is able to deliver to your address'
Not urgent at the moment but keep an eye on the price.0 -
I just ran a boilerjuice quote for info only and best was 89.85p. Still more than local suppliers.Jaybee_16 said:Tried Boiler Juice again this morning but still getting... Boiler Juice has been at 126.50p here for many days now - it's just not budging since the initial drop from the first crazy quote I got! Good to see it is going down in some areas, though - although obviously still mad in others if people still aren't even able to get quotes. Thanks also for your previous advice that local suppliers are likely to be cheaper - I have to admit that I am still hanging on in hope of further drops and have not phoned the most popular one round here yet (they don't do online pricing).dunstonh said:

Having been waiting several weeks because of installers being busy, we're actually finally having a woodburning stove installed the week after next - it's replacing an unusable (and slightly ugly) fireplace, so I'm looking forward to that and having an additional decent heating option, although you'd hope it won't see much use until autumn now!0 -
Ordered 700 litres yesterday from NRG at 80 ppl (quoted 79 for 1000). That will see me through till autumn. That was on 'delivery by 13th April'. Email today saying delivery tomorrow.I'll top up if prices fall but frankly they could go either way.....

Boiler juice is still over £1 a litre for me, local companies have all stopped online quotes. As I'm not desperate for oil I'm not going to waste anyone's time by phoning round for quotes but it does make it difficult to keep an eye on prices.

Got a call from Your NRG in Middlesbrough earlier today - offering me around 78p a litre to Bedforshire (delivery area and price varies I think?).canaldumidi said:Ordered 700 litres yesterday from NRG at 80 ppl (quoted 79 for 1000). My tank is 1/3 full (1225 litres) and I'm holding out for a summer price drop before filling. But who knows what prices will do?
I notice my neighbours are all using alternative local suppliers rather than the village's own NRG... so I suspect they aren't, perhaps, as cheap as they once were ?0 -
in periods of panic buying, the local suppliers tend to go cheaper than the groups as the suppliers to the groups want to focus on their own local supplies. Some local suppliers will stop taking orders from those that have not used them before or regularly.Rodders53 said:canaldumidi said:Ordered 700 litres yesterday from NRG at 80 ppl (quoted 79 for 1000). Your NRG, still use the local depot Conquest Oil name when trying to sell me oil, tankers can arrive with that livery or Cranfield Oils or possibly any of the others they've acquired near here.dunstonh said:in periods of panic buying, the local suppliers tend to go cheaper than the groups as the suppliers to the groups want to focus on their own local supplies. CO's previous owner has set up in competition in another nearby location, so I will certainly be getting at least three competitive quotations when I need Kerosene next.0 -
I'd like to support the independant ex-CO family business, but their online quotes have unfortunately been consistantly higher than YourNRG - even with the 'introductory discount code' they are offering.Rodders53 said:
