I think you're misrepresenting my complaints somewhat.
It is worth noting for future, that some CEX stores are "franchise" (not owned by CEX, albeit run at a short arms length). Not clear if this was a main branch or franchise, and whether it made a difference (i suspect a franchise would have been harder).
It was a franchise store. I assume they're all ran/bound by Head Office policy.0
