Glad you've had a visit at last.
I agree with the others, is there an alternative pharmacy you can use? I can get my prescriptions sent to the pharmacy of my choice."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Good to hear the police are taking it seriously. I hope things calm down soon.Mr SA has his meds delivered by a local independent pharmacy after he briefly left to join Lloyds pharmacy delivery. They phoned and offered to match the service if he came back to them. What is it about chemists where they all seem to have painfully slow counter service 😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Thank you everyone. We did have a Lloyd's next to Sainsbury but it has recently changed hands and I am not sure what they are like now. I used to find them quite useless as they never had what I wanted and the last time I went in the staff were so busy chatting about their private lives they couldn't be bothered to serve me so I left. I am waiting for the results from the gp and if my breathing problem is something serious I will talk to them again.2

Foxgloves dont tempt me re going on strike. I dont think it would work though. Whenever I have been away for any reason I have come back to a pile of washing up and nothing else done. Unfortunately Mr LH just doesnt see anything he doesnt want to. His answer is why dont you ask but I ask one day and the job gets done a week later if I am lucky by which time I have done it. I have waited 3 weeks for a bulb to be changed. I havent done it as it is a spot that I would have difficulty reaching.Prescription collected and I have treated myself to a new lap tray. I dont think anythink else ha been done other than cooking, washing up and walking Bear. I wish my get up and go would return.4

F xDont tempt me but after 50 years it hardly seems worth the arguments.A load of washing done and hung up to dry, I have sorted a pile of books for the charity shop but due to time factors and bus times I wont be able to take them until later next week. I have also done a tiny bit of listing and sold a couple of items. I received £25 for surveys yesterday but forgot to mention it. Roast chicken dinner which will also do us tomorrow. I usually get another meal out of it but I think the one I bought this week was a pigeon in diguise so dont think there will be much left after tomorrow. It has been dry all day but after dark there was a bit of rain. The field we take Bear for his walk is quite soggy and I know when we go to the enclosed field tomorrow it will be like a mud bath. I think Bear will need a good wash when we get home. I must get out and clean the back of the car as there is quite a lot of mud in there but since not being able to drive I dont think of it until we get in.Hopefully we will hear back from mr plod next week about what the other people have said. In the ,meantime I hope you have all had a good week.5 -
Not heard anything from mr plod but suddenly we seem to be persona no grata round here with the local dog walkers so I think someone may be spreading tales. Still while they are gossiping about us they are leaving others in peace. To give a brief run down a large dog ran at high speed to bear. He took exception to this and reacted. No problem dogs are dogs but the owner made no attempt to recall her dog and starting screaming and swearing to mr LH. He brought Bear home and returned to try to explain to her. Before he could open his mouth the screaming and swearing continued so he returned home. We made some enquiries about who owned the dog as we knew there are several similar here with the idea we would get in touch with the dog warden to ask him to have a word about letting her off lead dog rush to dogs on lead.
However about 20 minutes later they were on our doorstep screaming that it was Bear that started it etc and threatening us if we dared to use the area to walk Bear. This rather upped the incident as I have to walk past their house to get anywhere and to be honest I was scared which is why we involved the police. The stupid thing is if she had recalled the dog and said sorry as we have had to do in the past the whole incident would have been forgotten as dogs being dogs. Our complaint is not with the dog it is about the agression and threats.
Anyway on to more sensible things. Shopping for the week done though I think more milk may be needed. Bear went to the secure field yesterday but I don't think he really enjoyed it due to the thick mud. We may not go until we have had some dry weather for a few days. I have made a small start on the pre Christmas clean and have largely sorted what is left to get for gifts.
Going to see Annie in the city tomorrow with my dd and I think that sums up this week so far.5 -
Oh I’m sorry to hear about the situation with the other dog walkers, not that their opinion counts 😡 The owner of the large dog needs to sort their own dog and themselves out I’m afraid. It’s disgraceful how they’re trying to pin the blame on you. There used to be an elderly bloke on our local park who had a staffy who attacked every dog that came on the park while he just sat there ignoring everything. His dog went for my dog and almost knocked me over. When I confronted him he basically told me where to get off and tried to make out my dog was being aggressive to his 🤬 Thankfully I haven’t seen him or his out of control dog for some time. Some owners just won’t accept blame.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

This situation sounds desperately unfair for you, Mr LH and Bear. You have gone above and beyond to do the necessary with Bear and other dogs. Sounds like it's the other dog owners who have the problems. Thinking of you xx3
