E.ON price increase just in – to fix or not to fix?

To follow up on an earlier post of mine on this thread - I had some back and forth with EON over direct message on twitter (I was asked to show that I'd tried to get the deal on Monday when I received the email about V11) and have now been put on V11. This was dated from today so I'll now paying the new rates and as such will take a bit of a hit until the 'official' price cap goes up in April but I'm happy with that.
It really does seem to be very dependant on who you speak to.0 -
Say you fix with a supplier and the capped variable rate drops below your fixed tariff. Can your supplier refuse a request to move to the variable rate within the fixed term contract length? Obviously exit fees may or may not apply.0
