...now a civil national business centre court claimWith a Claim Issue Date of 24th September, you have until Monday 14th October to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 28th October 2024 to file a Defence. That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.2 -
Login to MCOL and do the AOS online, following the advice in the newbies sticky thread, second post, do not touch anything else on MCOL, only the AOS acknowledgment, to give you more time to compile the defence draft
Change the thread title in the first post to mention court claim from the CNBC, or similar, because the current thread title is irrelevant1 -

Draft your defence but do not send it until it's been checked and approved, preferably towards the end of October
Remember that its a concise defence, not a witness statement
Any exhibits and elaborations to bolster the defence are submitted next year, in several months time, in your WS bundle to your local civil court, not to the CNBC in Northampton
Remember that you are only adapting and showing us the first few paragraphs, not the rest of the template
