I phoned the horse piddle at least 8 times today, to try to get some information about DH. Most times the phone wasn't answered within 5 minutes, so I hung up. Once this morning and once this afternoon it was answered, but I was told to ring back later to speak to his named nurse. I finally got through at 5.15 and - amazingly - got to talk to a consultant. The upshot is that DH is having ABs by injection, they need to test more blood for infections, and they probably won't be sending him home tomorrow, but they might send him home while he is still Covid-positive. At least I can get tomorrow's jobs done!
The accounts are still driving me crazy. Today's work on them has raised more questions than it has answered
But I do have some flying achievements to report:
- finished cleaning DH's room and ensuite
- DH's phone is still on charge - slow, slow, slow slow slow!
- hoovered all through downstairs
- binned dead flowers in the compost
- FUPA the last of the clean washing
- sorted and put away the bags I took to church yesterday
- bagged up the contents of the Donate box for the CS run tomorrow (I know it's easier to donate the box with all its contents, but actually this one is the perfect size to fit in a small space on the worktop in the utility)
- walked Rosie in the rain
- rang DSiL to tell her about DH, once I had got some news to tell her.
I don't actually fancy any food atm, but I suppose I'd better eat something.

Hope Moomin is feeling a bit better Pigpen x
A nice chilled out day, did the grocery shopping sticking carefully to our list, bit of flying done, and a visit from SIL and MIL which was nice. Called at the local bargain shop and bought a new cheesegrater and a couple of small tupperware boxes with decent lids to take fruit or nuts to work. Such extravagance!
Have just been hit by a massive wave of anxiety, felt hot and sick and slightly faint, goodness knows where that came from. Still feel a bit shaky. Lots of worries that are rumbling on that I am trying to keep a lid on I guess.
Back to the paid stuff tomorrow. Need to post Ebay parcels. Will pack some lunch and get my stuff sorted in a bit.

Sounds like a difficult day Iona, do take care of yourself. Hope your anxiety is passing YL.
8yo only fell asleep half an hour ago, Brownies keeps her up late on Mondays which is a pain. Done the kitchen and pack ups but can't face starting something else now. Will get out the breakfast things and crash.

retrieved the 2 sales and packaged them up. I have button bands to knit on the Lions cardigan now.. I have 3 balls of rainbow wool I am going to make into a blanket.. I have been looking at it for months and it has become a project.. I have 4 balls waiting to be socks and just can't summon the crazy to do it.
OH has just annoyed me so much that I am not getting the new taps for the kitchen because he seems to begrudge spending money on the house we both live in.. He think I am being ridiculous and extravagant and we don't need it.. it has been turned off and on using the little cut off lever for nearly a year.
I am NOT a happy bunyip .. a more unhappy bunyip.

thanks for lists.
Hugs to all those with a lot on their plate - Iona, Pigpen and Moomin, YL, ASB.
We did quite a bit of flying yesterday as DB and SIL were coming for lunch today. Also had a cooking binge - nut roast for last night's dinner, cherry cake (was meant to be raspberry friandes but once defrosted, found they were cherries.....then noticed I'd used all the almonds in the nut roast so couldn't grind them to make the friande batter anyway), soup for today. Did a lot of gardening over the weekend as it was nice and sunny.
so today:
- went for a run
- had a good time chatting with DB while SIL visited her mum in nearby care home. Good lunch with both.
- finished and emailed a report. Spent a while sending panicking messages about a new student, referred at short notice, who appears to have 2 conditions I'm not qualified to diagnose, both of which would interfere with any assessment I can do. Waiting to hear if I actually need to see her on Monday. Started another report.
- One load washing done, hung out, brought in.
- Shopping list seems to be getting long, considering I went last Thurs. .....too much cooking.
- managed to totally confuse myself as Mr N had turned over our (weekly) wall calendar while I was at church on Sunday; I came home and turned the page then filled in what I thought was happening......major clashes then realised I was a week adrift.
Seems that is all I've done.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Good morning lovelies, big hugs to all of you, I don't know how you lot all do it.

Cleaned the shower and bathroom sink whilst I was getting showered and ready this morning
Bed made, (fully this time, normally it just gets folded back nicely) clothes picked up and windows are open
DW unloaded by OH
OH chased cobwebs out of the dining room yesterday whilst listening to a rather tedious call
Didn't get everything done on yesterday's list but hoping today's will be easier and I can then go back to yesterdays.
Gas man has just arrived to inspect the tank
Banking and spreadsheets next whilst I eat some breakfast11 -
Morning all, didn't fly last week as it was half term. Did start on the kitchen yesterday. Including sweeping the floor and removing all the sequins, glitter and stickers. That was a silly idea, getting those out for three under eights to play with!
Hugs to all those who need them. Hope the ill feel better soon.
Love the house, @Mademoiselle. Hope you get lots of interest. Where are you moving to?
Right, off to load the DW. Kitchen looks awful again! Then to make some batter, pancakes tonight. Easy tea for once.
Take care all, mumtoomany.xx
