some peoples assumptions are very weird.
Well maybe think of it more like a swimming pool than a bath.
A 4 person hot tub is 1250 litres with just 4 people, so just 313 litres per person.
So swimming pools have 40 times the amount of water per person to dilute any bodily fluids that may end up in it!
Plus people are much less likely to be having sex in a public pool...!
And just to be really gross, the average ejaculation contains 300 MILLION sperm.
So in a swimming pool you would have 800 sperm per litre, but in a hot tub 240,000 sperm per litre.
(I guess hot tubs are not for everyone. I just find the idea of them really icky, not to mention bad for the environment as you have to keep changing the water!).
Just tell them NO THANKS!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)3 -
But a swimming pool holds 375,000 litres of water and perhaps 30 people, so that's 12,500 litres of water per person.

If you are going to a friends house and getting in a hot tub that they haven't changed the water in since having sex then you need to find better friends!
If you are concerned about one at an accommodation venue or similar then you need to find a better place to stay that cleans things between guests!
If you are buying a second hand hot tub (like the topic of this thread) then just drain the water, rinse and refill (like a bathtub).
You are way overthinking this!2 -
Sperm only live for a few days once ejaculated. Max 5 days in the right environment, so would depend on the temperature of the hot tub.Of course the seminal fluid will hang around longer......1

Interesting how a thread which started about an unwanted item in a house purchase is now about body fluidsIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales7

Well... it's probably best not to think too much about it, otherwise you start worrying what about what might have happened in the shower (or even on the granite worktop of the kitchen island).
And if there were teenage boys living in the house: https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/01/24/manchester-university-semen-letter-students-dont-masturbate_n_1227343.html
(Although that letter turned out to be a hoax.)

ones car, get on the train, go to the gym, sit in the hairdressers, etc etc. What exactly is it you dislike, as you don't get in their water if you're buying one with a house1
