2 yr deal is doubled, i got mine at £110 p/m, now showing as £200 and i know my usage (low)
people are going to get a shock
As it happens I instigated a switch yesterday to the CM1 version which looks like it's going through OK so far... I would not be instigating a switch to the CM2 version.
Here's a comparison of the CM1 to CM2 'fixed' rates in the southwest England region (where I live) in case anyone's curious:CM1 CM2 Elec. Standing Charge (p/day) 27.30 53.26 Elec. Unit Price (p/kWh) 37.986 44.68 Gas Standing Charge (p/day) 27.752 28.86 Gas Unit Price (p/kWh) 10.446 16.29
Edit: I've just checked and for info. the clause that Scottish Power can still end the contract with 42 days' notice if they choose to is still there.1 -
i still dont think that 42 day notice relates to prices changing as the front screen has .Good news! As you're on a fixed price tariff, your prices are protected until your tariff ends.21k savings no debt1

my prices are 26p elect +s/c and gas 6.456 i changed on the 15/1 for the feb24 CMI (even though i was fixed til end of feb 22) went from 120-205pm Now it looks like prices have doubled again, this is very frightening21k savings no debt0

.
Have you looked to see if the terms of your contract include the same 42 notice option for Scottish Power to end the agreement, or is yours a 'proper' fix?0 -
What is happening with Shell Energy? When I logged on previously (a lot) the summary page did a fixed tariff countdown to the end date, that has disappeared today. My tariff ends 31-3-22 and previously it said my fixed will go onto Flexible 6 and you could click to see tariff prices. As I will be on Flexible 6 for one day I wished to know the April price cap, only by reading this forum did I see that it would be called Flexible 7, not available to view on Shell website. The Chat option does not work and has not for days. I emailed them and got a reply listing Flexible 7 figures but no mention if it includes VAT.I am Southern area.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Your Flexible 7 tariff information will be sent to your email address when your currenttariff is about to end.Your Flexible 7 tariff is:Electricity -Unit rate 28.455p per kWh, Standing charge 43.39p per dayGas- Unit rate 7.479p per kWh, Standing charge 27.22p per day-------------------------------------------------------------------------------'About to end' is not very helpful for budgeting purposes. If you click on tariffs today---Sorry, we are currently unable to complete your request. Please call us on 0330 094 5800 to speak to our Customer Service team. Are other Shell customers experiencing this?0

@Ultrasonic Yes Ending your agreement Your agreement will end if: - You choose another ScottishPower tariff - You switch to another supplier - You move house. You must give us at least two working days’ notice or you will be liable for the supply until the new occupier enters into an energy supply contract or two working days after you give us notice. Or we can end the agreement by giving you 42 calendar days’ prior notice. This tariff does not have any exit fees.////////But as I said before .The front screen says Good news! As you're on a fixed price tariff, your prices are protected until your tariff ends. And at the time of fixing was nt a cheap option I just wanted security,( I am surprised by my good decision as normally i make wrong uns) I can see you have gone for CM2 version so you are nearly in same boat as me, I would have switched to another supplier as I was looking for 2 year buffer/security And if they do try this i will be working out difference I paid against SVT til end of contract feb24 for compensation. then never use SP again. I Really hope you are wrong here and hope the clause is in there in case SP go bust.21k savings no debt0
