Hello All,
I've got myself in a bit of a pickle and have ended up with a huge WS (30 points) which I'm guessing I should reduce into a much more succinct statement. I won't post the whole thing here as frankly I wouldn't expect anyone to read it. In my first 12 points I cover the sequence of events, primacy of contract and signage. I'm happy with these sections and understand them. I then seem to have uncovered another 18 points which all relate to overcharging fees, POFA and CRA breaches and lack of landowner authority of evidence.
I'm at a bit of a loss of which of these points should be included? I don't want to !!!!!! the judge off by handing them War and Peace and I'd also like to understand any evidence I'm submitting. Could anyone point me in the direction of a good WS that includes a few of these points in a comprehensible format?
Many thanks0 -
Have a look at the WS this week by @Daiapolon2021
Longer than yours(!) and includes stuff about why the new (but temporarily withdrawn) DLUHC CoP should still be paid regard to, by Judges.
30 paragraphs is nothing...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The article about UKPC was from about the same time as my cases. Considering I had a permit on my windscreen for one of them I might link to the article about their dodgy behaviour.

Hey All,
I'm 95% complete on my witness statement and had a few final questions before I submit it. I have seen one or two of these answered on here but despite using the search function can't seem to find them!
1 - Could I just confirm this is the most recent statement of truth?
"I believe that the facts stated in this defence are true. I understand that proceedings for contempt of court may be brought against anyone who makes, or causes to be made, a false statement in a document verified by a statement of truth without an honest belief in its truth."
2 - Am I correct in thinking the statement should be formatted in Times New Roman (12) and spaced in 1.5 lines?
3 - Can the WS be submitted digitally? Or should it always be submitted in paper format (ring binder etc)? Presumably I also submit it to the claimant? Can this be done digitally?
4 - If the WS can be submitted digitally, does a digital signature suffice?
I'm aware that the majority of this info is already on here but I just can't seem to find it in the stickys. If someone can link me to the correct one that would be great.
Many thanks

1. Yes but not 'this defence'! The Newbies thread explains about the new statement of truth.
2. Yes.
3. Yes - but if it's too large to email, you will have to merge your exhibits into one PDF then compress that PDF.4. Yes. Ideally though, we prefer signing a white piece of paper then scanning that image, cropping it then popping that in.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
