Thanks guys! Yes super frustrating about the tax but sometimes things happen in life for us to learn something from. Maybe I need to learn a little more patience! Just desperate to get below £1000 debt left to pay and then get it gone! A few more weeks isn't much in the grand scheme of things.
Such crazy, uncertain times at the minute with the economy. Every day it feels like there is more bad news!
Seriously hoping my house sale doesn't fall through with all the issues with mortgages now. Trying not to think about it or get too excited about the sale in case it doesn't end up happening. Taking one day at a time!Debt free November 20222 -
Yes the news doesn't make pretty reading at the best of times...

Thanks @Deleted_User and sorry for delayed reply. I haven't logged on in a while. I am definitely not as organised and focussed as you but trying my best to get the debt gone!
I haven't had much to report on paying down debt due to the tax issue so just been scrimping this past week or so. Only 3 weeks to go until payday when I can sort everything out! Can't wait!
House sale still seems to be progressing for now despite all the turmoil in the mortgage market so keeping all my fingers crossed. Now that it is October, Christmas definitely feels like it is just around the corner. I have £55 saved so far in my Christmas fund, which is better than nothing. Will increase my contributions from next month and most likely put a lump sum in there as well. Despite the change in weather, I am still holding off switching the heating on for now. Me and the cat just snuggling with a hot water bottle under a duvet on the sofa when required!Debt free November 20221 -
Just had some good news. Managed to get a partial refund on accommodation for a short break a while ago now where the place really wasn't as described and had broken heating! It has taken a lot of effort and back and forth with the owners to get to this point but have received over £300! Didn't think I would ever actually get the money so hadn't wanted to count on it until I could actually see it sitting in my account. Decided to put it straight to my debt bringing balance down to £1030. This puts me back on track for a DFD in 3 weeks time on payday at the end of October, if I get paid correctly this month! Over the moon and can't wait to be debt free!Debt free November 20222
