Excel Parking and Debt Recovery - help

Hi,
As you've probably guessed I've received a parking notice from Excel Parking, they're trying to claim I parked without a ticket, however the machine didn't issue tickets so I have nothing to back myself up. If i'm honest I cant remember if I paid cash or paid using Apple Pay but theres no record on my Apple Pay.
I've received 2 notices now both stating pay £60 within a certain date or the fee will go to £100. One warning a Debt Recovery with further costs up to £70 being charged.
Initially I contacted them stating I'd paid but when they asked for proof I had no way of proving it.
I'm not really sure where I stand here; Do I just ignore the letters or do I respond?

Please read the 'Newbies'thrwad as everyone is advised to do for helpful step by step guide of what to do etc.
Which car park pls ?2 -
What happened when you complained to the landowner? That is always Plan A.
Debt collectors have no powers and can safely be ignored, but Excel are court happy, so you need to press on with Plan A, relentlessly.
As above, you also need to read the sticky Announcement for NEWBIES that will answer many of your questions.

So you're saying that Excel will happily go to court over it?0 -

If you give the exact location you may be given extra help as others may have been caught there and there could already be threads on here about it that could be useful to your situation.2

Apologies I completely missed these messages, the car park was 3 spires, Lichfield.
I'm now receiving letters from them demanding I pay a further £170 otherwise they will continue with county court proceedings.
If I'm honest, i'm a little worried about it as i've never had to deal with this sort of thing before

The letter i've received tonight states I need to respond by the 24th march (tomorrow) but it also states payment must be made 7 days from the date on the letter which is the 17th march, seems pretty unreasonable as I only received it tonight.
Is it worth emailing to say I've only just received the letter?0
