It's called a DIY Learning Curve. And it tends to be steep.

Hi Ac we all make mistakes hopefully small ones. As bendy says it’s a learning curve.another_casualty said:Fixed !!
What the problem was …the black washer that was in the fitting was / is supposed to come out of the tube going into the wastepipe !As the washer was already in the fitting I assumed it should remain there .🤦🤦
I has to get that out with a screwdriver.
Once I did that , everything that should’ve been done now is .Still, I have given entertainment again 😬Now if there were instructions and the black washer was not in the wrong place this job would’ve been done in a few mins.
Thanks anyway!😼Currently typing this on my phone as broadband is unavailable for obvious reasons ..
When one of your mates/family have a similar issue you will be able to advise.
Glad you sorted it out.2 -

Another light thread incoming 😼..1 -
I normally use the bathroom in our bedroom, it has higher cabinets, and I'm more comfortable in there. My wife was taking a shower, so I used the front bathroom off the hall. As I washed my hands, I distinctly heard as the water went running down the drain, "you should change." It was pretty feint since it was just swirling water, and you know how that is.
Anyway, I thought there was a pretty good chance that I heard correctly, and not wanting to seem contentious. (I really prefer the bedroom bathroom because it doesn't speak to me, ever.) I did exactly what it told me to do. I changed clothes. A little awkward since I was already dressed for the day, but hey, what else could I do?-1 -
What a bizarre post. You do realise you're replying to a thread that's well over 3 years old?shawnwalter said:I normally use the bathroom in our bedroom, it has higher cabinets, and I'm more comfortable in there.....
