NB - brickwork changed midway throughout

The other thing is that brick will weather over the first few years so it may become less noticeable.0

And why would the builder agree to do that if they don't have to?SiliconChip said:Is asking the builder to paint the exterior so that the colour of the bricks is hidden an option?0 -
I doubt they will paint anything, it would be odd and damage the whole estate. Are these real bricks or fake bricks?
if it were me, I’d go ahead and ask for a discount or chunk of money. I don’t think it is worth pulling out over the colour of the bricks which will colour anyway after years.0 -
Have you missed the bit where they've already exchanged? The OP is no longer in any position to either renegotiate or pull out. They have a binding contract to buy the house as-is at the agreed price.Deleted_User said:if it were me, I’d go ahead and ask for a discount or chunk of money. This is just one of the risks you take when buying a new build off-plan.1 -
A deposit was laid down I cannot see where the OP has exchanged contracts?Slithery said:

I'm astonished that so many people buy off-plan, and I'm even more astonished that the system seems to work, most of the time.Slithery said:

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?3 -
Off-plan or new build. I didn't believe it was even possible to exchange contracts on a property that isn't built. Certainly when I spoke to developers building these places they just wanted a deposit. What put me off was that it didn't exist. And I have mentioned before on here in regards to the new flats that were built near me nearly 10 years ago. Every working day without fail there is a Workmans van from a trade outside to fix all the mistakes they are still finding. You have to be extremely careful.GDB2222 said:

This is just one of the risks you take when buying a new build off-plan.In this thread hereThat's why starting multiple threads on the same purchase can be frustrating and repetitive. (and against forum rules).

"We’ve only exchanged on a deposit. We’re eager buyers so it would be a matter of looking to get it rectified and legally not accepting it until remedied. "
In another post, it doesn't add up.0
