Mr F is feeling a lot better.
Had an order for 6 creme egg covers collected this morning - I have 2 creme eggs left out of the 65 I had.
Postie brought me some new knitting patterns today.
My glasses are ready to collect from the optician.
No friendship/lunch club today so a rest from running around helping folk to a table, making tea and coffee and serving the meal.

We had a nice trip away last week (Inverness/Thurso), first time off island for 2 years! I am happy DS is enjoying his new art supplies and some treats which we got while away. I am thankful for my clean sheets today (hot water bottle leaked spurred me to change sheets that needed changing in a couple of days). I am also thankful for all the blankets I found under the bed (in boxes) and have layered two on top of my duvet.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I absolutely love having boiled eggs and toasted soldiers for breakfast (or at anytime really). But its even better when the eggs are boiled just right and I put them in my twin egg-cup, slice off the top and dip my soldier into a lovely free-flowing yellow/orange yolk.
Inevitably I will end up with some yolk drips on my chin and/or top, but the sheer pleasure of munching on a toasted soldier dipped in golden egg outweighs any embarrassing clumsiness5 -
That's it,
I'm going to make some boiled eggs for breakfast, it sounds really delicious, and I too will no doubt have a drip or two
it's ages since I had boiled eggs and soldiers
but why not
Sun is shining and the sky is duck egg blue I have to pick up DGS at 11.00 and drop him at work, but he will do me a lovely coffee as a reward
Might nip in to Aldi's on the way back to see what their veg is like as my leek and tattie soup is finished and I do enjoy HM soup for lunch

A bunch of flowers has just been delivered from an order I placed online yesterday.
I'm not really a flowery person and when I looked on the florist's website I didn't look for specific names of flowers, but went for looks and presentation instead.
Anyway they arrived a few minutes ago and they looked absolutely lovely. And my partner (who the flowers were meant for) beamed in delight at the surprise, and even recognised some of the flowers (alstroemeria, chrysanthemums and sunflowers)
Hopefully they will last for a few days while sitting on the dining room table. They certainly add some colour and lovely aromas to a home, even to a complete flower dunderhead like me6 -
Sunshine here.

Spent precious time with my baby today. She is growing up fast and I am stunned at some of her insights.
We got thoroughly covered in chocolate whilst making a giant Easter egg, also had a good day at the chazzers (well she did anyway, I didn't get anything for myself). No man is worth crawling on this earth.
