I used to be on this site years ago and still recognise some names. After a few years away and tbh things going from bad to worse my house is not only very messy but also embarrassingly dirty too. The thing I struggle with is there is so much to do that I didn't even know where to start. And then I remembered this forum. And thankfully it's still here! I love that it's not overwhelming and done bit by bit at different levels and I can fit it in with work. Going from what I thought was a happy family to a single mum with 5 kids has been hell. But now it is time to put a stop to this and get on.
So today I am going to
Hoover front room, hall stairs and landing.
Clean windows and TV.Sort coats and shoes.Wipe skirtings/front room window sill.
Set out clothes for kids after school and get PJ's out ready.
Prepare dinner.
Wish me luck 🙈14 -
I would love to say I’ve done loads, but I haven’t!
I have however listed several things on eBay (2 of which have already sold), seen to the hens (9 eggs today) and put some laundry away. The snow is thawing quickly here thankfully so it’s not as slippy underfoot x

Plan A for DD2's bedroom didn't work so need a rethink which may involve moving some of the heavier furniture.
Have done several bits here and there but the house seems to look more of a mess than ever.
One more task to try in a different room then I'll make a cup of tea and tidy round12 -

LFT
Window cleaner been and paid.
I've put all my colouring books together, and all my coloured pens and pencils together. Glued the base of a wooden box of colouring pencils - bye bye little 🐸 😊
Bought birthday cards for DB (Aug), Neice and Great Neice (Nov) and DSil (Dec).
Sticking to my list when grocery shopping apart from looking for offers on things I use regularly. Bought tea bags and WM pods because they were on offer. And bill still under £25. No messies bought = less money spent and no temptation in the cupboard 😇.
LFT next. Then read a book.

Done nothing.. I went upstairs to get my phone charger.. and laid on the bed for 45 minutes until the meds kicked in and I just had to move as the bathroom was needing company lol.
Phone charging now but I need to go to school and need it to be at least 35% charged before I go.. or I have to walk in silence! 7%....

Dormitory in out outbuilding rearranged and hoovered, quite a bit of stuff out. It's looking quite good, just so much more still to do.
I now have cake and a cup of tea.
Will tidy round kitchen when I've had my cuppa and hopefully OH will be home early to help me clear something else.

welcome back backagain
Thanks so much for this thread everyone, my house is already looking better and I'm feeling motivated to continue
I've had a v.productive afternoon - went to hosp to discuss gall bladder removal, I am on the list and waiting time's around 4-6 months. Pretty sure I will have it done as I don't want to experience pain like that ever again!
Got back and sorted massive paperwork pile, recycled old stuff and filed important stuff. Dug out a nice basket to put the stuff in that needs to stay out.
Just off to phone my Mum before doing tea. Oh and got another washing to hang on airir , must do that first or I'll forget!

Morning all. Well it was morning some time ago lol! I am sat under a blanket typing this as despite the heating showing 22c I am afreezing cold! I am a tiny thing at 7 1/2 stone so no fat on me. Plus i've caught my daughters cold so i'm a bit snotty and have a throat like razoe blades. Just got rid of corona last week too from the house! I managed to complete my morning routine before afternoon school run. Running behind so about to do my afteroon routine now. Need to tidy dd1's bedroom which isn't too bad as I did it Friday so i'll go do that now along with landing, folding and putting away laundry and then tidy ss bathroom too.
