Morning all. Thanks and (((hugs))) to Natty xx
Rosie woke me up at 5.15, wanting to go out, so I am already on my second cuppa of the day, have read the papers and done a couple of small jigsaws online, started tonight's tea in the SC, caught up with new emails (got a new link via DNA results to a distant cousin) and thought about what has got to be done today. Actually doing it will be the real test!
- Finance check
- Breakfast, shower, dress, make beds
-Take down DH's birthday cards and move the CD player, table lamp, ornaments (there are very few of these), pictures etc out of the LR. Yesterday evening, in addition what I had listed earlier, I moved all the pot plants off the landing windowsill into my bedroom (very pleased that the top of the c-o-d was already clear, so plenty of room for them all), so the HSL is ready for the decorator - he is happy to take down the curtains for me.
- Measure the height of the bookshelves which DS1 cut down a few years ago, and mark up the tall DVD shelves to be reduced to the same height, which will make the room feel a bit bigger
- Measure up walls and calculate how much paint I need to buy
- Go to Bee and Queue and/or Housebase in the market town for the paint, and while I'm there also pop into MrM's to get my coffee which is currently on offer at 25% off
- Pay church cash into the bank via the PO.
- Walk Rosie
- Do some work on the church accounts.
No sign of DH yet, so breakfast may not appear for a while yet...
Hope your DS contacts you soon, YL x
asb, I share your delight in the lighter mornings (and longer afternoons) x
Hope everyone has a good day, especially Dot xxx

Morning everyone, glad to see you're on the mend ASB. Hope your feeling better soon Dizzy. Hugs to anyone else who needs one.
Made a good start, DW on, although OH did half the loading while he made porridge. Now going to try to tackle the top of the cooker. Also on today's list is to water and check polytunnel, collect eggs (if they've laid any!) and sew buttons onto two baby jumpers.
See to all later, mumtoomany.xxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.11 -

We actually had a good morning with her.. Even Twinkle was dressed all by herself this morning without screaming.
OH in his training.. I am sat in squalor but unable to do anything for the day if I have to collect turds.. I am looking to see if there is any help we can get because I'm just done. School transport is a pile of rubbish or I would ask them.. but I suppose I would just get fat then because I would never go anywhere.

I'm late today but have had a long overdue and much needed chat with Stepmum.
Weekend was good but very very tiring. 1200 km driven, furniture dropped off, lunch eaten, photos and measurements taken for the next project. But being in the car with OH for 14 hours over 2 days gave us plenty of time to talk through plans for selling this house and what stuff will not be able to move with us.
This morning I have made a start on some the things we discussed, table and chest of drawers swopped over and dutifully cleaned, landing cleaned and mirror polished too.
Bed made, clothes picked up
Weekend bag unpacked and away
Banking and spreadsheets checked
Lunch next and then more moving bits and trying to make DD2 bedroom look presentable.
Round, you've come so far, I'm sure I remember you panicking and rushing around because the gas inspector or similar was coming when you first joined here around the same time as me.
I must admit I smiled inside when my OH commented on how much progress I had made in the house.
Get those SMILES on and we can all do it this, we're GREAT10 -
That is great progress Kaz.. OH still cannot even look at Nutkin and we have had him (Nutkin.. not OH) for 2.5 years! Pumpkin we have had 18 months and she doesn't like OH either.. he is big and stompy.
I've tried to manage without medication and I had to have 4 attempts to put one leg in my trousers.. so I am going to make a cuppa and wash some down and some more later and hopefully I can survive the school run but nothing else will be achieved.
Moomin hoofed out to college but we have her bf here sleeping off last nights extravagances.Boog has job cantre laterMeem had video call with work
Squeak is sat reading.. and can get her lunch in a bit. I REALLY can't cope with not knowing about school it is making my head wibbly.. they are meeting up the end of this week.. but I need to know now, right now, preferaby yesterday.. I have the patience of a saint.. lol
I need to sew the leg on a flamingo.. I will do that next.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Had shower, done some decluttering in our bedroom, hung out a washing and put a load of towels on and done some hoovering. Going to have a rest now and do some crochet. List is looking good, amazing how much you can get done when you put your mind to it.
Have to go to hospital this afternoon for a meeting with a consultant about taking out my gall bladder - or not. Had loads of bad attacks then had an endoscopy to remove a stone, since then no attacks. I've been totally fine (menopause notwithstanding lol). So I am really undecided about whether or not to take it out ? Anyone have experience of this ?
