    Thanks!
Just signed up, all very nice and easy. I'd attempted to sign up to DF Captial earlier but wasn't impressed with having to send my passport/driving licence via email, which isn't the most secure. Nice to see with HTB it wasn't needed and was very easy to get the account setup.

Bizarrely though, a less impressive process for existing customers. I was advised by the website that as an existing customer I had to call into their call centre to have a new bond added to my account. I know these are small operations sometimes, but being able to open a new savings bond online as an existing customer is pretty basic functionality.

    Tesco Bank - 2yr bond

Anyone recently applied for this?  Just going round in circles when applying although have credit card details to log in with.  If do get to end of application it says 'timed out'.

Tesco Bank answering the phone fairly quickly this morning (Sunday 10:15 when I called) if that's a route you need to go.
    0345 678 5678 Sun 9 - 3. (My call was Cash ISA transfer related).

On Tesco bank, does anyone know if they're strict about only one deposit being allowed to their fixed rate accounts?

I've never understood why some of them state this to be honest, it's not exactly ideal in terms of risk or convenience to stipulate this is it? Without intervention banks only allow certain limits to be transferred in one day and anyway who wants to chance a transfer of, say, £85k in one go to a brand new account?

Understand that it is strictly just one deposit allowed with Tesco fixed bond - but you can also deposit by posting cheque if above your bank's daily transaction figure.

irrelevant now to those that didn't open it when it was 4.75% 1-yr fix, but i've been informed by Dudley BS, that I can make a test deposit (if less than £1k will need to be manually approved) and then one further deposit 24 hours later.
i've been trying to make a large deposit via debit card this morning, which would save the faffing around with bank transfers (especially when their details doesn't pass CoP), but the online option isn't working (regardless of amount).... i've messaged them, so no doubt i'll try again tomorrow.

A few further details for the 2 year account: the current application process through HL says you must apply before 16:59 on the 27th Oct, but the account will start earning interest on the 31st Oct, and run until 31/10/23. I can't yet work out if that means you need to have transferred the funds in by end of business 27th Oct too, or if that can wait until 28th Oct.
