21st June is the next CPI report so that's potentially when the next big moves could be in fixed rates depending on how inflation figures look this time round.

Also BOE meeting the day after.
Might be worth opening some accounts just before these announcements, just in case...?
I think so yep, you never know what the report is going to show, obviously last time out it was much higher inflation figures than what most economists predicted, but could go the other way and end up being better than what people are predicting, which might lead to sudden withdrawals of the existing fixed rate bonds on the market and replacing them with lower rates.

Vanquis 1 year fix 5.30% just seen it on moneyfacts
Does anyone know whether transfers made into Vanquis appear the same day? - Also, can you make multiple deposits into the 1 year fixed ?

    Thanks in advance
I was wondering this too as the page details are a bit vague, but the downloadable pdf of the T&C say:

"Deposits may be made only in sterling by means of a cheque or a series of electronic payments. The deposit account can only be funded from the Nominated Account."

So that sounds like you can make more than one payment to fund the fix, hopefully someone who has one can confirm for us?

    All payments into your account
    need to be:
    • made within 30 days of us
    receiving your application
    • made from your nominated
    account
You can pay funds in using one
    or more payments. All payments
need to be made within 5
working days of the first payment
being received by us. After this,
    you can’t make any more
    payments.

Al Rayan 5.30% - 1 year fixed rate.  This doesn't feature in MSE's top fixed-term savings accounts either standard or non-standard. Is there a reason for this?

Just not been updated yet. I use Al Rayan for fixes, no problems so far.

I've had both for a long time - No prob with Al Rayan, but Vanquis seem lots easier to mange online, monthly payments if that's important for you, change nominated account online, 14 day cooling off in case anything better pops up...
