Am I being unfair by automatically dismissing anything that requires applying via Raisin ?

Hopefully, if nothing else, this new 2.55% rate will simply encourage others to follow in the coming days so I'll hold out for an alternative I think. BoE meeting due next week too, of course.

in my opinion, no - I had a Raisin account last year, didn't like it and intentionally left before I could get the bonus.. prefer to have direct relationships with banks rather than third-party intermediaries, so I dismiss anything that requires such bodies, e.g Raisin, Flagstone etc.... if I miss out on a supposedly excellent rate, I don't care.

Just noticed that Shawbrook have reduced their 6 month Fixed Rate from 2% to 1.75% so anyone who opened one at 2% now has a limited time to add any extra funds.
thanks for the heads-up - I see it's been added to their list of withdrawn products.

I was going to put another £20k in from a closing notice account at the end of the month, but will have to bring that forward and fund from elsewhere.

Ahli United Bank (UK)  hits 2.55%
    Paid on maturity.

only available via Raisin I believe.

Last time I listed a different Raisin linked account, I was told it was available directly
so omitted to mention that this time , but I didn't know for certain , I've never used Raisin.
As mentioned, hopefully that rate will encourage others to up their offers.

I literally checked that this morning, first thing, and it wasn't withdrawn...so thanks for the heads up.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

Possibly anticipating a rate rise with the BoE meeting on Thursday. Hopefully other providers will move up too.

Tandem has to be the next bank to make a move, they have been a bit laggard.
