Hard to know whether to go "all in" a 1 year now, or hedge your bets and "drip" money in, every two months or so, in say £5000 chunks, depending on what accounts (rates) become available.

Jam today, or (potentially) more jam tomorrow?!?
Have you considered the Shawbrook bank 6 month fix at 2% as a middle ground option?

I am considering 6 month fixes too, so as to split the difference.

I was hoping to avoid "more" accounts/providers/logons, and just use Raisin, but I'll have a look at that.

Are they "traditional" on line, rather than app based?
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

    They're traditional.
    Edit
From their Ts&Cs for their 6-month fix:
Once your account is open, you can operate the account online through secure message or by telephone on 0345 266 6611.

If the boe raise the rate again on the 16th of June, it takes about 2-3 weeks before the best rate appears.
Im hoping that but August & September when my 2 pots need reinvesting a 1 year fixed might be 3-3.5%.
But I can hold off a month or 2 buy stashing it in my chase saver at 1.5%. Loose a bit in the short term but gain in the long run.
If 5% turns up, Please Please Please 🙏 it 5 year fixes for me and no more work until retirement.

I think they were alluding to the fact that nothing is happening between now and the end of next week.

BoE meeting his two weeks today, i.e. after the timescale in their post.

I agree with @Bigwheels1111 in that not all providers will react immediately to any change in rates.

It is a waiting game atm.

All well behind inflation, of course, before someone points that out, yet again!
