You and the Claimant have exactly the same deadline to submit.2

Did they send you a WS bundle?
More importantly, did you send yours?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good afternoon everyone,
Just an update to let you know I attended my court hearing this afternoon and WONReally pleased, so the first thing I wanted to do was come on here and thank everyone who contributed for their help. There's no way I could have ever managed without all of your input.
If you have any questions about how it went, i'll do my best to fill you in
Cheers!6 -

ANOTHER UKPC ONE BITES THE DUST!
Well done!
Unusual for us to see a UKPC one go to a hearing. DCBLegal normally discontinue UKPC cases when well defended; was yours DCBLegal?
Can you tell us which court and Judge?
What was said by all sides?
Who attended, a rep for the Claimant? Were they badly prepared as usual?
Was it a phone hearing?
Which point tipped the balance and won it?
How did you feel, and did you know the Judge was on your side from the get-go?
Did you ask for your costs at the end?

Thanks @Coupon-mad, they have certainly bitten the dust
A friend of mine had also been dealing with an almost identical scenario with UKPC & DCBL and his was discontinued a few weeks back. This did annoy me that they continued to pursue mine!
Anyway, the hearing was at Worcester Crown & County Court and was meant to be with District Judge Solomon. It ended up being a different judge this afternoon (their name escapes me, sorry).
The claimant was a no show, so just me and the judge discussing the case in person, not a phone hearing. He had mine and the claimant's full document bundles, but the main points of focus were the unclear signage and also the additional fees not quite adding up. The initial PCN was £100.00 plus the £60.00 fee for not paying promptly (so £160.00 total). However, the claim was for £210.00 plus the court hearing fee etc. So the difference between the £160.00 and £210.00 now being claimed was queried, as there was no obvious explanation for it in their WS.
I had submitted some photographs highlighting the lack of signage at the carpark entrance and interior. The claimant had also submitted some from inside the carpark, but these didn't match up with a site diagram they'd sent showing where their signs apparently were (you could clearly see in one of the photos that there was no sign displayed on the wall in question, but their site diagram showed otherwise). So this caused some doubt as to the quality/integrity of the evidence they'd submitted, ultimately tipping the decision in my favour I feel.
The judge was pleasant but quite poker-faced for the most part, just asking me to explain some things in my WS and help with clarification and his understanding of a few points. I was unsure whose side he was on until he thanked me and proceeded to voice record his judgment where he concluded i'd won.
I did claim some costs as well, for loss of earnings, travel/fuel and parking. It was £112.00 from memory8 -
Hey good result!1

Fantastic! I've never had a Judge agree to any costs so you did well.
Odd about the no-show; I wonder if DCBLegal meant to discontinue your case and forgot?!
Well done for winning. And...
...please don't leave us yet!
We need you - as a genuine PPC victim of aggression, sharp practice and an 'extortion' attempt to add £70 - to respond robustly to the Public Consultation on the level of parking charges and banning of the false added DRA 'fee' that too many honest motorists currently fall victim to.
It will need consumer input (powerful voices) but change is afoot. It's taken about 5 years to get to this stage:

And then the industry threw victims' money at it and blocked and delayed it - explained here:

Please now Bookmark BOTH threads and set up email alerts on your posting profile, so that you get an email alert when we post there, as we will, once the Public Consultation opens later this year, once the new Ministers are fully appraised.
Might be January at this rate but don't miss it!
Please also tell your friends and family to please do it as well. The more consumer anger the better.
We need people like you and your driving family & friends to respond in high numbers! You have a personal story to tell about the culture of getting a roboclaim time-waster to add a pointless £70 for their own profit, to be let loose to intimidate people by abusing the court system then (in cases where the victim has not rolled over and paid) not even showing up to the hearing.

For DCBL, why don't they wake up, smell the coffee, that UKPC are seriously bad news for them, just like CST Law were sucked in to utter rubbish ?
For UKPC .... how do you feel about a legal who failed to turn up in court and cost you money ??
One of these two are totally crazy .... or both

Thanks again for all the help I received on here over the past few months. I've bookmarked both of those threads and will keep an eye on them as things progress2
