Money-shuffling towards mortgage freedom

DS is back and is rearranging his bedroom - something I used to love doing as a kid and still do now. He’s sorted out three more cuddly toys he no longer wants so that’s a bit more decluttered and is unpacking the rest of his Christmas gifts and finding places to put everything. The walking boots fit and he loves them so that’s a positive.I may start going through my wardrobe shortly to see what else can go.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Three items have gone from my wardrobe and into the charity bag, I don’t really have many clothes so this is actually quite a lot to go.
I’ve made two pear and blueberry cakes to use up some sad looking pears and defrosted blueberries and have put a couple of other bits in the oven for later whilst they’re cooking.DS wants to spend a voucher he had for a Christmas tomorrow so we’ll go to the local shopping place tomorrow after I’ve finished work,Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

£5 spent today on something DS picked out for his birthday soon and £12.50 spent on a new large extension lead with a switch thing on it as the old one broke. It should have been £19.99 but I put £7.50 of nectar points towards it to reduce the price. DS enjoyed spending some of his vouchers.
We went to the bank first and DS paid some Christmas money in and I paid in £25 from my purse so will have a think about what to do with that now it’s in the bank.Tea is in the oven for DS and I - a past YS purchase of chicken en croute from the freezer and veg from the fridge.I’m feeling exhausted now. I’m eager to start the B12 injections next week now as I’m really hoping it will help.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

I sent the £25 to the mortgage so it’s now down to £73,850.Two items have been listed on fb too which will make £20 if sold.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Hopefully someone is collecting one of the £10 items tomorrow.
I need to get cracking with some work to get my little business going too. I’ve made a couple more steps forward but need to do more work and make a couple more purchases before I can start actually selling. I’m hoping to find time to buy some supplies tomorrow but need to work out the best value options to keep costs down.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

The rather full bag for charity has made it as far as the car boot, I'll try and drop it off later today or tomorrow.
I've listed another two items on Vinted & FB, they'll make under £10 if sold but better than nothing.
This morning I've re-purposed a metal/wood storage container I was going to give away and used it in the bathroom to store some of the massive stock of toiletries I've accumulated through birthdays/Christmas, freeing up a small drawer in my wardrobe. It's nice to find another use for something. I won't need to buy any shower gel/moisturisers/bubble bath this year either...
The Ziffit sale is now boxed and wrapped ready for sending, will drop that at the lockers later today.
I've booked a valuation of the house for Monday. I have no idea what it's worth now it's been renovated and would like to know for a couple of reasons. The valuation is free so it's not going to cost me anything.
The roofer is coming at 12 to assess the damage, let's hope it doesn't cost too much...Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

It wasn't good news from the roofer. It sounds like it's going to cost a lot more than I thought.
In true FB flakiness style, the potential buyer of the marketplace item didn't show up either.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Grocery shopping last night and I picked up a couple of things reduced to 90p & £1.50 that will make nice gifts for a few people so have stashed those away in the cupboard. There was £20 more than I thought on the gift cards I'd kindly been given so the shopping cost me nothing with £10 still left over on one gift card. I've transferred another £20 from this month's grocery budget t the mortgage in lieu of the funds from the voucher so the mortgage is now at £73,830 and £87.80 OP'd so far this month.
I've listed another two items on fb - things I love but have never fitted in this house properly and I end up just moving them about to find space so they need to go. Hopefully they'll bring in £15.
I tried to post the ziffit parcel off last night but all the lockers locally were full. Will try again today.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

A long term item listed on eBay sold this week which will bring in around £10 in profit. There’s also interest on a £5 fb item. I finally got the book trade posted today too so that should be £15 in the bank soon.
I’ve withdrawn all but £100 from my premium bonds account today and will use that money to fund the club lloyds saver account I’ve just opened with a 5.25% interest rate. I will be able to put the max of £400 a month in it for the first 10 months as long as the roof repair doesn’t cost too much and will do my best to find/make another £800 to maximise the first year’s interest. It makes more sense than leaving it in the premium bonds account after only ever winning £25 once.
I’ve also re-jigged my monthly budget in YNAB to transfer £200 to the EF a month instead of £100. I do also put £150 in the car/house maintenance and insurance pot, £100 in the Christmas pot and £50 in another savings pot so I do save quite a bit of my salary a month. I’d really like to build the EF up though, there’s £2900 in it presently.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16
