    Cc debt £2499

Money from a couple of ebay sales into the Italy fund, and cc debt is below £2500, which was my aim for the end of the month.

Bought some more furniture today, at a risky price point. £150 for a dressing table and 2 wardrobes. Gplan, so should make me some money, but I never like tying larger sums of money up.  I do have some interest on last week's wardrobes, hoping they will be collected on Monday, if not before.

Thinking ahead to next month, I'm hoping to get the cc below £2k, which would be amazing.

    Podcast editing is calling....

OK, so that's all the wardrobes from last week gone.

    Paid £35 at auction
    £30 delivery.

    Sold for £180 in total.

I've now got to sell yesterday's purchases, and hope I manage to win some more bargains in this week's auction...

    Cc debt £2479

So, I *think* I've sold my dressing table for £175, meaning a profit of £25, but I've still got the two wardrobes, which I'm thinking of listing for £100 and £150 and sewing what happens. They're really solid gplan, so should do OK. What ever they sell for, I will be in profit.

Husband picked 4 chairs and a table up for £20 today. Not seen them, but I'm always of the mind that even if I double my money, I'm making.

Still not been paid by my ex employer for work I did last month, getting really annoyed. It's only around £100, but I need it.

Shopping today, £87 in aldi. Still got some of last weeks shopping too, so hoping this will last until Thursday/friday next week. We had Risotto tonight, using up some left overs from last week, including bacon, fennel and feta. The most bastarised Risotto going, but if you don't tell the Italians, I won't.

    Other meals planned...

    Chicken curry

    Pork mince and noodles

    Pesto pasta

    Kyev

    Sweet potato something

    Roast chicken

    Waffles, eggs, beans

    Tomato pasta

    Frittata

I'm not really a planner, I just buy what I like the look of and I know I can use. I'm pretty proficient in the kitchen, so nothing much goes to waste. We occasionally get free bread and cakes from our neighbour who works in a bakery, so that can alter our plans. Tonight we were lucky enough to get some scones, along with reduced price strawberries, which made a great dessert.

Still feeling very up and down financially. I still do need to invoice my sister for work I've done for her. And I'm pleased with how my furniture is ticking along. I just need a bit more stability from my husband. He's been busy moving his mum last week/this week, which means he isn't earning. And it makes me anxious.

Hopefully he's back in full swing tomorrow for a good few days.

Anyway, I think thats all I have to report.

Hello! Hope everyone had a good weekend?

All good here. Since my last post I've sold my dressing table and a wardrobe, so profit on that lot is £125 so far. I have 1 wardrobe left, let's see what that brings.

I have also splurged and bought a sideboard and table and chairs. With delivery these came to £425, which is way out of my comfort zone. I'm sure I can sell them for a profit, but I'm.mot sure how much.

Some cashback has come in, so waiting for that to show up in the Italy fund. And I've sold a couple of items on ebay, waiting for.that money to be paid in too. Getting to a stage where I need to start booking, otherwise prices will go up and I'll chicken out.  I am tempted, once it gets to a stage where it can bring the cc below £2k to use it to do that. It will be a buig boost and makes financial sense.

Talking of chicken, popped into booths today. They've still got 3 for £12 on meat, so got some burgers (new bbq), a whole chicken and some beef mince. Also picked up some yellow sticker items, so the freezer has had a refill for £30

I do need some veg, but trying to avoid a big shop as spent £85 last week and £100 the week before in the supermarket. So, I've got the whole family on the hunt for yellow stickers if they pop to the shop.

I've also taken a free trial of hypno gastric band. I really really need to lose weight,  and we'll, I'm lazy and curious. Let's see....

Off to listen to a session now. Take care.

    Hello!
Slight rise in cc as interest has gone on. Managed to pay it off, but fie aomw unknown reason husband put a payment on there this week.

Some cashback and ebay purchases have gone into the Italy fund. Still not booked anything. Not sure what's holding me back.

No furniture sales so far this week, which is pushing all the wrong buttons as I've currently got £445 worth of stock. I have hopes it will go soon, but maybe all these bank holidays are hitting peoples wallets hard.

I have edited all the podcasts for.my sister, so I'm going to invoice her tomorrow.

So far, I've listened to 3 days of hypno gastric band. Oddly, I've not drunk any wine, and I've had a bit of an internal dialogue about saying goodbye to it this week. It's not mentioned in the hypno sessions... I have also lost 1 kilo, but my weight fluctuates a few kilos, so if that remains gone I will be impressed. Just another 29 to go. Told you I am over weight.

A simple tea of tomato and red pepper orzo topped with fresh mozzarella and a cheese and pesto focaccia I found reduced in booths. Smaller portions for me than usual, maybe it is working.

Or perhaps its this stinking cold I have.

Good luck with the furniture sales sugar-walsh and hope the cold goes soon.

Interesting about the hypno gastric band, I have seen that advertised and wondered if all the reviews were real but sounds like it's having a positive effect. xx

I suspect its mainly because I'm ready to get healthier, @MeandO to be honest. But the relaxing part is very nice.  I will let you know how it goes going forward.

Today I'm cleaning up the last two chairs in my dining set and hopefully getting more photos of my sideboard, which I'm hoping will help.  I've put them for sale too high, thinking someone may make an offer. Quite a lot of the stuff i buy gets bought by proper dealers, who then sell in their shops or pack and send containers to america/Europe. I make a smaller amount of money, but no over heads.

The weather is good and I've just seen a delicious looking recipe for yogurt roasted carrots, so thinking that's a winner for lunch.

Have a good day all. X

    Holiday fund £383
    Cc debt £2559

    Hello!
Hope your week is going well. Mine has been a bit of a financial fail.
After some consideration we decided Italy was too expensive when travel is factored in. So, we have agreed on France. The holiday fund is going slowly, I really need to improve that.

Cc has gone up, which is irritating. We boughta bbq (not on card), but due to a gas bottle shortage, we ended up spending £90 on gas. So yes, I'm now bbqing as much as possible.

Went to Manchester and took son 2 out to lunch. That wasn't cheap, but I really wanted to check in on him as he's just recently moved and is living alone. He was on good form,.so that has helped my concerns.

Mil finally moved. I honestly can say I've never, ever seen so much junk in all my life. Some interesting thoughts- my husband maintains they didn't have much money growing up, but I think his parents frittered it on small things. There were collections of everything, that individually weren't expensive, but collectively would add up.  The other thing we have been discussing is whether it's fair to leave your stuff for someone else to sort out. And the emotional burden of dealing with other people's collwctions/prized possessions. Although oh comes from.a family of hoarders, he is starting to see the impact that has on others.  We made it quite clear to his.mum, who still has tonnes of tat, that she needs to start sorting through it as no one wants to have to move all that in one go again. Doubt she will.listen or care though.

I feel I may sound selfish and uncaring, I'd be interested in others thoughts.

    OK. The day awaits.

Have you heard of 'Swedish Death Cleaning', sugar-walsh? It's not as morbid as it sounds. It'sis basically about de-cluttering all the stuff you have collected along the way and don't actually need when you hit the end of middle age so that so your life is more organised and you don't leave a load of carp for your relatives to deal with after you've gone. I think it's a brilliant idea and reading about it has really made me question keeping some sentimental items from my grandparents etc  that will mean nothing to DS when I'm gone. I'm not sure your MIL will buy it though!  :D

Yes! @MeandO One of our neighbours has a son who lives in Sweden, so our neighbour has been implementing it for a while. I'm a fan. But I'm a minimalist really. Well, I'm definitely not sentimental and could pack.anythung meaningful to me in 1 tiny bag. I'm more of an 'experience' person, my.memories are connected to things I've done with loved ones, not objects.

Maybe I'll try throwing it in to conversations with my mil and my mum. Mine isn't a hoarder, but she dies have a large 3 bed house with quite a lot of superfluous items that she likes to update regularly.

Maybe it's an age thing, but I'm excited at the prospect if downsizing and having less physical things to worry about!
