    It hasn't been 'chosen'.

That's a template letter you can find already uploaded on other Trace threads.  Instead of just asking questions on this thread you could do a Google image search for 'Trace Debt letter parking' and find pics of it in seconds.

Umkomaas' advice was spot on - because at the time you hadn't revealed the vital info that your DD stays in Scotland.

No-one gave you wrong or conflicting advice.

They use that laughable letter for English cases and sometimes a solicitor then files an English small claim, but as she stays in Scotland that won't happen from this tedious letter-chain and everything we've told you is consistent.

By reading other Trace threads you'd even know what letter comes next in the chain and won't have any worries when it arrives and we are proved right!

  • Thankyou I am very grateful for all the help and info yous have given me
I am just so scared this is going to escalate and daughter will have to go to court
i have read all about trace debt recovery but when you get letters like these it’s scary, but as you said even though the PCN’s were in England and she lives in Scotland they can’t do anything is that right?
It’s just that it’s four PCN’s and I didn’t think they would let this go even though she lives in Scotland
sorry for all the questions but I really don’t have a clue about these things

It would probably be better if you could persuade your daughter to post directly on here herself.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Daughter is in the forces and not even in the country the now and don’t know when she’ll be back, she’s has no Wi-Fi so I’m having to write all this down to send to her, I am trying to sort this and do what’s best and at the moment that is to ignore all letters from trace

    Yes.  Ignore.

There's nothing to sort out and I'm not sure how many different ways we can explain to you, to just ignore Trace.  And we don't have time to repeat the advice on one thread again and again (sorry).  We already answer over 100 new posts per day here.  Every day.  In our own time for no financial reward as we are ordinary people who choose to fight this scam and spread the word.

I'm sure you've now done the Google Image search I advised to see pics and to realise your daughter's case has not been 'chosen' and you've hopefully now read some other Trace threads, to inform and settle yourself more.
