Thank you for all the kindness and hugs xx
Whole house dusted and vacuumed after a fashion. Washing juggled. Gibble collected and rehoused. Marmalade homed, Christmas pudding from 2020 found. Whoops, but it will not be wasted. WULTD. Indoor plants watered and pampered. Flowers thrown and vases washed.
Sorry, Kaz, but there are still westerlies coming your way, if outside here is anything to go by. Just a bit concerned that Mr Kaz couldn’t take a conventional shower and needed to be put through the car wash instead 😋.
I have brought my book downstairs so that may very well set the pattern for the afternoon.10 -
Fayolle it was his filthy car!!
he is now asleep, he has a cold which is worrying me as his immune levels are still low, but he would go out walking on Tuesday early evening when it was so cold here.
Cats 1 & 2 outside 'playing' with leaves, they keep bringing then in for us. Cat 3 is out and wandering about, showing no interest what so ever of coming any where near us or going out via the open cat flap.I also have an aged Christmas pudding, it won't come to any harm in the back of the cupboard, it is unopened, so some thing for August timeBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hi all
Much love Fayolle.
45 minutes exercise done, LR hoovered and dusted, clean washing put away. Three old candles and a handbag with broken strapped binned and some cardboard torn up to go in the recycling box. Our bedroom needs a flick around with the duster and I will polish the shiny bits in the bathroom.
DH is going to reseal around the bath which desperately needs doing, I cant get it white any more and it looks awful This is very exciting (such is my life).
DS has popped home, a friend is picking him up to go shopping, he is feeling really rough poor kid. It never seems to end.
Very very windy but not particularly cold which is something. My windows need washing and the car is filthy.

Dunelm visited.. purchased a stacking box so we can store Squeaks education stuff more easily and much neater! Signed her up for BSL lessons as per her request! She is hoping it will help with the selective mutism if she can communicate in sign, I'm not convinced but its a new skill and educatn so that is all good.
WM on with swimmies in.
Chook in the oven for OH's dinner.
OH and Pixie now bugled off to the park with a bike.. *FLING*

We took Layla to a secure exercise field to see if we could get her to run today. She trundled about, was very affectionate, sniffed things, ran a bit but mostly just trotted after us and after about 15 minutes lay down, and then five minutes later trundled back to the car. I also think she's deaf, which has come on over the past year or so. Anyway, a worthwhile exercise but I don't feel the need to repeat it. She's happy as long as she's with us and genuinely doesn't care about anything else except chicken. She'll do pretty much anything for chicken.Another batch of Seville orange marmalade made, with 1.350kg of sugar instead of 1.5kgs. It tastes wonderfully tart.Belovéd sorted out the bird feeders and did a bit of vacuuming - hurrah!Better is good enough.12

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been posting. Thank you for the hugs and kind messages. It's been a very long and busy week.
The good news is that since yesterday teatime I have cleaned the house from top to bottom. (Well, actually, the hall, DR and utility floors are going to be steam mopped as soon as DH has gone to bed, which he says he's going to do at 10.00 - I shall not be far behind him!) We have friends from church coming to lunch tomorrow, and I hadn't cleaned thoroughly since the start of the year, though I do keep the place tidy. I shall not now be cleaning again - apart from kitchen and bathrooms - until after the decorator has come and gone. Yes, at long last the Sword of Damacles water mark above DH's chair will be gone, and the spiders will be evicted from the HSL
I've been decluttering again. I quietly took up a challenge to declutter 202 items in 2022, and am already well past the100 mark. Yesterday I reminded DH that we will need to move the DVD shelves for the decorator and pointed out that below the TV we have a whole drawerful of Carry On films which I dislike intensely and he hasn't watched since we've been here, and he immediately said, "Yes, I was thinking it was time to get rid of those." You could have knocked me down with a fevver - Result!!!!! Apparently he's also culling his war games models and planning to sell some sets at a swap meet at the end of March. Watch this space!
And when I came back from walking Rosie yesterday, not feeling exhausted for the first time in ages, I mowed the lawn. In January!?!?! It was already 6 inches long in places and growing fast, though it's very patchy and still looks rather a mess - but it's a quick way to pick up the leaves.
The bad news for the week was threefold:
- spending hours and hours doing the safeguarding preparation
- going to the horse piddle for a scan and being told a diagnosis by the cardiology nurse practitioner which I should have been given last summer, which means that I have lost 6 precious months in which I might have been able to improve my situation sooner, That might explain the exhaustion that I have been experiencing...
- and having to fulfil a promise to write and deliver a sermon for tomorrow despite not feeling very well - but it's ready now.
Anyway, I have survived this week, so I'll draw a line under it and start afresh tomorrow.
Pigpen, congratulations to your DH, and I hope Squeak gets her school place and your pain levels improve x
GWS and coping vibes to all in need.
(((Hugs))) to Fayolle, YL and anybody else who could use some right now xxx
asb, I hope your replacement stove door has arrived x
I probably almost certainly won't have time to post again until Tuesday, though I will try to keep up with the threads xx
