(((Hugs))) Dizzy. Burning the candle at both ends is only possible for so long - I hope you get a day job soon x
Sorry for not posting regularly, but going through a fairly rocky patch myself atm. I went to the horse piddle yesterday for a test and CT scan, and the nurse practitioner told me some info that I'm sure the GP must have said last time I spoke to one but I obviously didn't register. It was not a pleasant surprise, so my first job this morning was to ring the surgery. One of the more helpful GPs rang back and has put me on new meds. I'm not a happy bunny right now. DH is not exactly sympathetic.
My smartphone is too old for the C00p member's app to work on it, so I rang their membership department and am getting all of £6 dividend paid straight into my bank account [ker-ching].
I have managed to complete and submit my prep for the safeguarding training before the deadline (it took me hours) and received a nice note back from the person I had to send it to. People who say thank you brighten my day!
I am now waiting for the car dealership to ring me back ("Hopefully in 5 or 10 minutes" about 20 minutes ago) so that I can book my car in for its MOT. I hope they ring soon, as I have other calls to make.
In other news, I have
- started WMx1 of 3 about an hour ago, so it is probably done by now. Next time I buy a new WM I want one that does a shorter wash
- made breakfast, cleared away and S&S'd the working side of the kitchen
- S&S'd the bathroom
- tidied the LR
- made my bed and removed more cobwebs from halfway down one corner of my bedroom
- ordered more LFTs before we run out.
DH has cleared piles of his magazines and papers from the kitchen table and by his chair in the LR, with a very bad grace.
I still need to go shopping, walk Rosie and send various froggy emails.
Hope everyone is enjoying blue sky and sunshine today xx

knitted a bit while my body recharged.. filled 2 carriers with rubbish and emptied a big box into a little box and recycled the big box. Found some laundry, filled a bag with the girls stuff to be dumed back in their pit. this room is a sty but several '5 minutes' will have to do because my body is resistant.
OH posting parcels and buying bread during his 45 minutes lunch break.. he needs to get out of the house even just a tiny bit for some air and sunlight even if there isn't much.
We still need to arrange him a work space in the bedroom and it is on my 'to-do list for the next few weeks. I have to rearrange the landing before I can make it happen which requires more than a few 5 minute dashes.
Off to put on the kettle and warm him some casserole for his lunch.. I'm hoping I can persuade him to go to the gym one evening.. he likes going and it is socialising and exercise and not sat at home.

Hi ladies
Sending hugs to all first and foremost.
Fayolle I hope your DD had a good birthday, so sorry I missed that first time round.
Piggers sorry again I must have missed your OH getting a new job - congrats xx
YL - thanks for asking hunny - if there was even a remote chance of getting an appointment I would try, but our GP surgery is terrible and there is just no chance.
Dizzy - I have no answers but my inbox is open. It really does seem an uphill struggle some days. Keep the faith.
Iona - big love to you
It’s been a good but tiring week so far. Still feel dreadful with the constant head cold and runny nose. The glass hasn’t arrived for the woodburner so it’s very very cold here, winds currently at 50mph and raging down the chimney! I am definitely struggling with this winter, roll on a bit of spring warmth and a little less wind!
Hugs to all x

Evening lovelies
Welcome to the group buggalugs
Hugs to all those poorly or with poorlies at home.Congrats piggers on DH NB new job. Bet you are both pleased.
So sorry I've been missing in action and quiet. Thank you to asb for the messages of concern..♥️ Had to deal with my best mate and his housing etc. Suffice to say it involved police battering his door down, hospital visits, police visits and getting quite irritated with housing. But it is all sorted now thankfully and he is in temporary accommodation till they rehouse him finally. Just a shame it has to get to a major crisis and his life threatened with police and hospitals involved.
Anyway I think I'm ok, well as ok as I can be.
Have been packing up our bedroom and throwing stuff away. Thank god's it's green bin collection tomorrow. I'm amazed at what I found though. Even new clothes that hadn't even had the label taken off - I must have put them in the bedroom then buried them.....lol
Looks like it's a charity bin run tomorrow as DH has been at his mum's house clearing stuff too, so he'll have some bits for charity too. Plus I think we've got a buyer for it too and it's only been on the market 3 days 👍
I'm shattered so am sitting with a cuppa and a magazine that I found.
Must remember to clear the bed before going to sleep tonight, it's got everything that I want dumped on it..lolMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Oh goodness lots of people struggling, much love to Dizzy, Ionafan and Natty in particular.
Thanks Pigpen. DS has Crohn's which doesnt usually cause ulcers, so not sure if Crohn's can change into Colitis, or whether you can have both at once. They want him to have an MRI next so hoping they can do that soon, he cant afford to lose much more weight, he is like a twig as it is.
ASB I am so with you on being sick of winter. I dont know whether its my Thyroid but I am really struggling with the cold and we are trying to not use the heating, but then we are going through logs and coal at an alarming rate. Hope the cold clears up and if if doesnt you maybe do need to pester the doctors. I will stop being bossy now x
I actually had an enjoyable day at the paid stuff. That's a novelty. Tea towels washed, DH ran the hoover round and made shepherds pies (meat and veggie version) as I have been in the office all day.
Looks like DH will get EAS, he managed 3 hours at work today but it was an effort. My poor big brother is also signed off with what is probably stress but might be a problem with his heart. My family is a medical disaster.11 -

YL.. I'm sure he could have both.. either way.. it's horrible for him! xx
TY for the positivity for OH..
I am looking at mobility scooters for the school run.. is that really pathetic of me? I am really struggling but I am not sure how I can manage a scooter and Dot.. she is as wild as they come and not improving.. I had to tell her 3 times not to mess in/on/near the road on the 15 minutes walk home which took us 45 minutes! I am fine pottering about the house but shopping or school runs or anything which requires more than about 5-10 minutes walk I am screwed... I am in so much pain. I should noot have to double up n pain medication an hour before leaving for school I now that for sure.2x WM1x TD
and a mountain to go on airers.. I have barely touched the majority of the laundry.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9
