Hugs Iona and others. Mr N was way behind with cardio checks, having had a valve replacement 13 yrs ago which they said would last 10yrs or so. Finally got an appt for this week only to have it changed for a phone discussion.....how do you do an echocardiogram by phone, you may ask? Consultant rather apologetic and booked him in for a proper echo asap.
Can't believe I haven't posted since about Wednesday. Oh well.
House is ok ish. Both my assessments this week were remote so I've been able to do a bit more flying and more gardening. Started a blitz on the en suite yesterday, even washed the mats, but it still needs finishing.
Went for a run yesterday and a swim today, the lake was lovely and no ice in sight.
Went into town today for a new leaf sucker thing as ours burned out, some petrol, gravel stuff for the pond, a new hard drive for Mr N (and I looked vaguely at a new PC as mine is quite old and doesn't always boot up properly) and a newspaper. On the way round I got some half-price goggles from the sports shop and the gym swim has been making my eyes sore recently. No food shopping as I did a big shop on my way back from my drum lesson on Thursday.
Filled all bird feeders and started to do the Big Bird Watch but it was very windy so less around than usual.
Trying to continue my 'write up assessments within a week' but I'm slow this week although my next one isn't till Wed.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -

OH set my brain into think mode.. this is not what I need because my body is going into a panic. I will never get to sleep!
I started the second baby cardy for the mini-hee, same pattern but different colour and slightly smaller size.. I need to find a different pattern for the next couple.. we don't want her getting bored.
Squeak was still buzzing about the school at bed time.. she is going to be gutted if she can't go.. hence a comment from OH which sent my brain in a spin.
Trying to decide where to take the girls tomorrow.. they want to go to the beach again but my legs are really bad.. we will have to see how much I can handle.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)10 -
Morning xx
Love to you all. ❤ ❤
I'm up, made my bed and opened my bedroom window- now the howling hoolie has gone! I've eaten breakfast and I'm supping my second brew.
While the kettle was boiling I sorted through some more rammel on the kitchen worktop. I've unearthed a large plastic tub with lid - which DS used to take ingredients to school for cookery lessons. It will be washed and...gulp...go into the cs bag. It's too big to repurpose as a lunch box and it's a large oval so difficult to store. Not practical at all. I do not need it. I repeat I. Do. Not. Need. It. I can do without Justin Case whispering in my ear thank you very much 🙉

Morning all
Round well done on getting rid of the tub. Rammel is a great word, we use it here.
I am cycling with my ladies group later, and there are new people. This means meeting and interacting with actual humans so my anxious brain is now telling me I would be better not going. Why cant I just look forward to things like any normal person?
Cold, frosty and sunny, have washed doggie blankets and will hang them out. Have sorted out lots of bits of paper and done some home admin, need to pay the milk bill.
Really hope Squeak gets a place Pigpen.
Have a good Sunday all x

YL enjoy your cycle out.The sun is out, the hoolie has also gone, the sheep in the far field have got out and are in the back field, not going to ring the shepherd as he come on a Sunday to see to them, so he can round them up, the worst they can do it eat grass, there is no way out of that field except into my garden, and the cats are on watch. So farHooveredCats sortedHoovered some more, emptied bagless thingEaten toastTaken ash out, brought logs in.Fed the birdsOff to do a bit in the garden then may be the beach..Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hello all
Boiled oranges chopped - skin shredded, pectin/juice dripping through muslin. Towels on the line are drying beautifully. Much calmer today so both rabbits are out; my larger rabbit, with bigger ears, does not like the wind at all. All ironing up to date and airing on the maiden.
Rammel's used hereabouts, too - s'pose it's the same as gibble.
I WILL do the thread for the week but I will pick'n'mix (again)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hello,
Keeping everything crossed for Miss Squeak x
Have a lovely ride, YL x
Look after yourself, Iona. Whatever you have been putting in your DH’s tea seems to be doing the trick. Long may the flingage last x
Round - Justin Case has been very comfortable living here for the past few years. I can certainly pack his bags move him along in your direction if you would like. He is a bit of a nuisance to put it mildly…
Long(ish) walk done with friend this morning. Chilly but blue skies, so lovely views.1 load of towels actually hanging out on the line.
An hour spent going wild in the back garden with the secateurs, so the green bin is now fairly full.
Dinner for tonight in the sc.
This afternoon, I have some veg to turn into soup, need to do some admin, would rather be sorting out my seeds. Oh and I really need to s&s the ensuite - **yawn**.
I am going to delete a game off my tablet - I put it on last week, and it is totally time wasting. I’m declaring my hand here, so that I do something about it. Right. Now.11 -
How is it Sunday already!?
Zero flying achieved due to night shifts so house is a midden. Maybe one day things will change.
Hugs to Fayolle - funerals are always hard and this one is extra sad. I have to attend one on Friday for DH's aunt...except Tiny has tested positive for the plague *cry* We have had to cancel puppy viewings and a visit from the skids is now in doubt too.
Fed. Up.
We use the term "shizzle" rather than rammel...but I'm from the south, so could be a regional word?
