It is electric ignition.
Sorry its V18 as it is over 7p a unit for gas.
No imersion heater, also the shower is off the hot water.
Just the usual couple of TV's and a laptop.
All lighting internal and external has been switched to A rated LED.
TV's are LED.
Under counter fridge in the kitchen and a new small chest freezer in the shed.
No tumble dryers, just a washing machine.
Heating has a NEST thermostat on a Baxi Duo-Tec installed in 2015. It is set to bring the house up to 20 degrees on a morning.
During the day it is set to allow it to drop to the safe point but never really drops to below 16 degrees in the winter. It runs the house up to about 22 degrees from 5pm onwards.
Meters were switched to smart meters 11/12/2017.
Elec meter reading is 028789
Gas Meter reading is 084748
Elec Readings
Ges Readings
Last bill Usage

Here are soem readings from the old meters before we changed everything to more efficient appliances and lights

Anyone else think that looks a lot like a metric meter being treated as though it was imperial? Can't get to 195kWh usage from those readings even with an extra day...

But can not tell me how much.Have a look at the bill, somewhere on there will be a calculation showing how they get from the meter reading to the kWh, can you post that bit here please?I'm hoping we are going to see a multiplication by 2.83 in that calculation...

Looking at your electricity bill, I notice that the UP and SC for 11.10.21-14.20.21 and 22.12.21-12.1.22 are 28.238p and 40.199p, whilst the UP and SC for 14.10.21-21.12.21 are 27.211p and 35.723p
Did you change tariff for this period and then a new tariff on 22.12, which was identical in price?
I also notice a price difference on your gas for the same period.

Almost certainly. EDIT: Maybe not unfortunatelyMWT said:

4 units used between 11/10/21 and 13/10/21. Eon have billed until 14/10/21, so say another 2 units for the extra day gives 6 units used.
6 units on a ft3 imperial meter = 192 kWh
6 units on a m3 metric meter = 68 kWh
OP has a smart meter so it will be metric m3.0 -

They say we agreed to switch to the 2 year v18 but I can not recall as I have been ill for some time. but the unit rates have gone up a lot which raised the issues even more.0 -
That's what @MWT is after, but it looks correct for a metric m3 meter. Is that from one of the latest bills after your smart meters were installed?Philbellwood78 said:Is this it?

Hi Bagand96
Thank you for your response.
The measurements can get confusing what does that mean?
You kind of trust the guys that put the meters in did their job correctly and just tick along.0
