OK but was it the correct VRM in both cases?
  • Yes the VRN was correct in both cases. I've sent the SAR to CE Ltd, email to the MP and contacted the restaurant twice but haven't heard anything back yet.

I will update as soon as I hear from them :)

I couldn't find the legal@ address, so I requested this within my SAR.
  • Greetings everyone :)

    I hope you've been well.

Just a quick one from me - I sent my SAR to CEL Ltdt on the 11/01/2022, however, they've sent another letter to my old address, dated 12/01/2022, to state that they've recently sent a LBA and should payment not be made within 14 days, a further £70.00 will be added to the charge and a court claim shall proceed.

Do you know if this their usual practice? or have they ignored my SAR and address amendment?

    11th Jan - 12th Jan.

I would give them the benefit of the doubt - that by 12th January they had not yet actioned your change of address.

I hope that you issued a Data rectification notice ? , as well as the SAR ? , To the DPO at CEL
  • Thanks for the prompt replies, yes I sent a data rectification notice with my SAR as well as details for their Legal Team as I couldn't find it anywhere online.

You're right though, I should give them the benefit of the doubt - I guess it's just hard with CE Ltd's reputation :)

These e-mail addresses have proved useful for Civil Enforcement: -
    office@ce-service.co.uk
    Legal3@ce-service.co.uk
    dataprotectionofficer@ce-service.co.uk

  • Hey Le-Kirk :)

I'm really sorry for the late reply, for some reason this didn't come through to my inbox!

I did send my SAR to dataprotectionofficer@ce-service.co.uk, however, I've still not had a response from them. The restaurant is also silent.

Despite this, I have finally had a reply from a representative for my local MP with request to share my data/all relevant documents on my case to the relevant department/organisations that they may need to contact on my behalf.

I do hope everyone has been well - I will update the post with any more news :)

A PPC (well any company) has 30 days to respond to a SAR; still plenty of time left.
